vlads is not good for naga. it does not give the images armour and if it did that would not be useful. the only thing vlads does for naga is make it even more obvious which one is real.
you also imply that all melee/dps heroes have to get lifesteal. no.

im not saying she has to get all of that, but that is a good item build for her. Also, vlads is good for naga, and when people say it isnt i wonder why most top level players get vlads on her. Alot of people get it on her because it IS good, it gives damage for team/aura for team/armor. It does give her life steal which is good since you dont have heart til way later in the game. She normally doesnt go other regen items if she goes treads/diffusal/bfly, so a vlads is relatively cheap to make and quick to get due to the small parts.
I dont imply all melee/dps heroes get lifesteal, but vlads lets them get a 2nd orb if they were wanting lifesteal.

armor doesn't work, that's right. but it still gives the damage buff from vlads. and a lot of dps heroes should get lifesteal. it's good on tons of them.

Vlads also isn't terrible on naga for the above reasons stated, but also because when the lanes are too tough for her or pushed too far, it allows her to jungle during the time when she literally can't do anything.

I don't think it's useless, but it's a pretty big delay (2125 gold I think?) to the more important items (diffusal / manta / heart), especially with a hero that doesn't typically farm well / needs babysitting. In my head, it's like getting vlads on spectre... most of the reasons are the same.
And I can see getting it for farming, but even then, when the lanes are pushed way out, you can usually just image and let them tank, so the lifesteal won't help that much. For the same amount of gold you can get your ultimate orb, which buffs your images, your health / armor / mana pool, and turns into manta.
I don't think I've ever seen a pro replay with siren in it, so obviously I haven't seen how the pros do it. But conceptually speaking, it seems like a pretty big investment for not much return. You're over halfway to a diffusal (with the same easy buildup) by the time you get your vlads, so why not just get a diffusal? Especially since lifesteal in the early game isn't nearly as good as an early purge, and the damage aura won't help much as physical dps isn't very high until mid game. And if you're getting it after diffusal, you could be getting an ultimate orb / yasha instead, and then on to Manta and super-pushing. I don't think there's a good reason to delay that for vlads, since there's a window where you'll be ridiculously strong if you can get a quick diffusal and manta. And after manta, obviously you'd be going for a heart, not a vlads...
Just doesn't make sense to me, although I can see why you'd get it if you're not trying to be ultra-economical, or if you're farming super well. Seems like there's always better items to get, though. I know you should always have a vlads on your team, but there's a lot better carriers for it, imo.

it doesn't give the damage either. the only aura images get is the goblin taskmaster's speed aura. yes, it shows +X in their damage, however just like the lifesteal animation it doesn't actually mean the images get it.
naga isn't typical of a dps hero. a good portion of her dps is from images and mana burn, which won't contribute to her lifesteal. she is also jungling machine and really doesn't need lifesteal for it, especially now with how cheap mirror is.
what i mean by showing you which is real is the armour. unlike the damage which is faked on the images the armour is only shown on the real naga. most of the time you will know which is real anyway due to aoe or net, but sometimes (chasing) it can come in handy.
the only pro replay i've seen of naga was loda, he didn't get vlads.
