Bentley is apparently the next beckham (WTF is wrong with pundits these days) so 15m is reasonable.

Instead they splash 20 mil on an aging striker when they already have Torres and then they sell their backup fullbacks. GG Benitez Benitez just isn't good enough, they should have got rid of him about a year ago. Keane is a great player don't get me wrong... but definitely not worth it considering his age. When you consider that Rooney for 30million seemed expensive at the time, when you compare it to this it seems like an absolute steal.

I don't want Utd to buy either Santa Cruz or Berbatov, there isn't too much need seeing as we have Rooney, Tevez and Manucho and to an extent Ronaldo (if he still stays.) However if there was some striker to buy I'd rather have someone like Aguero/Huntelaar but that's unlikely, especially with the Tevez pemanent transfer being so expensive.

Couple of interesting matches. Juventus will play Twente, who eliminated Ajax for the UCL prelim spot. And what is the main dish of this prelims according to uefa.com, Atletico de Madrid vs Schalke04.

I mean, if chelsea is spending then you can't really say anything because the owner might just don't like money, but the company owning pool and manu now actually function on their own and when they spend they just go deeper into the hole. Don't know about liverpool's finance but man u hasn't bought anyone so far, last year they did but I'd imagine all the money they made from competitions last season are going into paying their debt. Ticket prices have risen also . It's like a few years ago when they spent 30 million to get rooney which used up two season's of transfer money, the next season all they bought was park I think. Or maybe I got the year's mixed up.

Plus their making Tevez a permanant signing this year for 32 million euros, which is a british record (i think), so they won't have much money for other pursuits (Berbatov?). As for UCL, isin't Barca playing too? Or is that no this week? Barca will play in 12\13 august and in 26\27 august vs Beitar Jerusalem\Wisła Kraków i hope Beitar Jerusalem so i can see Barca in Israel ![]()
