You are correct. Up until yesterday, Cruyff and Van Basten hold the record (together with two other players from the 50's) of most goals scored in one match in the Dutch Eredivisie. While the defense was lacking, Alves is a truly exceptional player.

he really doesnt look exceptional

when he played for brazil he didnt even look very good, he just looks like a Ok forward, at least in my opinion. I saw all his games last season, some of them were nice, but nothing impressive imo. And if a team loses by 9-0 in a 1st division match, then something is wrong in my opinion.

I watched the Dida dive really carefully and it was disgraceful to football. Not saying this because of what he did vs Celtic but, in the game vs Inter when Dida got hit by a flare I thought back then he might've tried to get hit on purpose maybe? I know a flare is really hard and it would hurt a lot to get hurt on the shoulder from someone throwing it from really high up but he was looking up for a really long time and just stood still until the flare hit him then he went down. Anyway it's just a slight suspicion I'm most likely completely wrong. Dida is officially a pussy and should lose his spot as Brazil #1, not that he deserved it anyway.

Dida is fucking gay to dive, and he is not even good enough for milan. He is rubbish, too many mistakes and I have seen him a couple of times guarding the ball in as if he doesn't know where his post was. Not sure about brazil because I don't know any other keeper from there. But I will defend him when he got hit by a flare, that is way out of the scale. Even if he is expecting it, it would definately hurt and got some minor burn.

Dida can be great or insanely bad. I don't understand why Milan keeps on playing with this guy.
Imho a regular good goalkeeper without genius is far more interesting in modern football than a partial time very good goalkeeper.
Well anyway I don't like the AC Milan despite some of their players are in the best I have ever seen. (Ho Maldini you are so great!)
