This is the first fighting game I've ever actually gotten into. BW has been my favorite game of all time because of how much work you had to put into any given game and how awesome it felt to end up winning, especially since it really exhausted you to keep up with macro and harassment. One of my favorite things that I did in BW was playing really late at night (Korean hours), turning on some trance music, and just playing some ladder and getting to that point where you peak mechanically cause you hit this zone that I can't really explain, but your hands are just doing things that are what you're wanting to do. I was able to do that tonight with SFV, it's the first game I've ever been able to "hit that zone" with that wasn't Brood War. I wish I had gotten into fighting games a long time ago cause I'm loving it

I wish it was more like BW in certain things like online leagues, clans, a lot of online tournaments, stuff like that. But given that the fighting game community was based around getting together at local arcades and playing together a lot, it's not surprising that LANs are practically the only form of competitive play

Matchmaking is really annoying in this game...I'm fine where my LP sits, because I'm obviously getting bodied by opponents a couple leagues ahead of me.

But when everyone I get matched with is a league ahead of me, the LP for wins/losses means I'm getting bodied at a 1:3 ratio just to keep my LP at the right place.
