Will there be a CS:S tournament? Will it be possible for people in Europe to compete (by using servers hosted in the UK)? Sorry if I'm asking questions that might've been answered already, but I couldn't see anything as I skimmed through the pages :o

I don't think I am practiced enough to get on one of the teams right away. Is there a way for new people to join the team or take a spot in some way like a tournament or tryouts.

The TL TS server already has subsections for WoW/LoL/FPS/EVE etc. so adding CSS in there would seem more than sensible. Wouldn't it be much better to stay centralized and possibly even attract some of the TS regs to try out your server?

CS is probably the best team based FPS for spectators imo. Not sure what beats it in that regard.

Problem is people fail to realize cs:s is more about preparation over reaction time, nowadays people are so used to seeing cod being played on youtube and have no knowledge about how fps is supposed to be played. People dont understand that timings, like in SC, are just as important in cs:s. There are mechanical and decision making oriented players in cs:s, and it's rarely the players with amazing shots that win matches. this makes it a poor spectator sport because people do not understand why players play so passive, and how things like rotating work. To add, it's also hard to keep track of 10 screens at once putting alot of stress on the commentator, the linear cycle system for source tv (1 players at a time in order) does not help.
