Finally got it working, but I have a bit of a problem. It didn't recognize my fightstick right away, so I had to go in and program the buttons myself. However, it somehow wants me to program up/down/left/right, and it won't accept my stick inputs. My google fu seems to be weak right now. I'm using a Hori Fighting Stick 3. Thanks.

Oh shit really... it isn't recognizing the up, down left, right?

I have a hori real arcade pro 3 stick and I was trying to play a bit on the pirated version to get some practice in early before the game was released. I was having this exact problem. I figured it was something to do with the cracked version :\
I was hoping that with the full version it would fix this problem but clearly that isn't the case... that's really weird though because Vanilla SF4 on PC works perfectly fine with my Hori RAP3

Its a PS3 Hori RAP3, do you have a Ps3 or Xbox version?

Yeah it does, which is why I was confused :-(

I have the PS3 version with the usb interface- this one.

I have the same issue though I'm unable to map my directional input.
The game recognizes my stick when its plugged in since I can scroll over to it in the options menu and it says Hori Real Arcade Pro 3
I can map all my buttons but when I go to map my directions, nothing happens >,>

The Steam/Capcom boards are a mess right now :-/ Looks like a lot of people's keyboards aren't even responding, so they can't get past the loading screen at all.

I'm currently downloading it from Steam atm its going super slow think their servers are bogged down.
I'm getting like 400kb/s atm and I have 15mb down internet

i had the same problem. I ended up having to change my steam cloud download server. Just go to steam->settings->cloud + download tab. I changed mine from LA to San Jose and went from 20kb/s to 1.5 mb/s
