Give a man a fish, he eats for a day.
Teach a man how to fish, and he eats for the rest of his life, develops a salmon company, and forces underpaid workers to do his job.
Capitalism. You should learn how to build some awesome legoes, and take credit for them yourself. Hire a guy to teach you advanced stuff.
I'd do it, but I once got a lego set from my mother back when I was into Star Wars Legos. I spent hours perfecting it, building everything and making an awesome base and everything.
My mother didn't want to bother vacuuming around my set, so she tried doing over it. Then when pieces started getting in, she just smashed the rest of the models into a crate, scattering the pieces.
Me and my friends used to play "lego-rpgs" when we were kids. Going on quests, slaying monsters, capturing dragons, leveling and gearing up, all that jazz.
I was a huuuuuuuuge lego fanboy back in the day. Lost some of the interest now but I can still feel that inch of ignition when thinking about how epic it was just sitting back on a sunday and building stuff all day long. oh wow the good days
But, I'm still thinking about a build contest! We need unlimited parts, we can't have a biased tournament just because one person has more shit. No, no.
I am making a lego hellion. Now most of us would laugh and say "hah!" some guy made and awesome one at machinima!" Yes, But that model didn't capture the length or shape of the body well! I am working on a better one!
The body looks very good, but it seems like the grenade launchers should be smaller in diameter, lower on the body, and longer.
Other wise it just needs good coloration. I could see it being a very good model. How many pieces do you have?
You made that with pieces from the Star Wars ARC-170 didn't you. The dying remains of mine are literally two feet to my left. God I used to love legos so much as a kid. I played with them sooo much. Hell, if I had the time and space I would bring them up to college with me, I would still build with them. Without a doubt they are one of the greatest toys ever
How do I access an SD card from windows vista after plugging it into the laptop? I've tried everything. I need to upload some pictures of my hellion in progress.

Bingo. And I never located the lost pieces so I couldn't remake it T_T.

Yeah, I don't intend to try to make a viking just because of this: The vikings joints should be jamming. The wings can't physically poop out legs and be so thin in the first place. There really can't be a model that PERFECTLY perfoms that transformation, and if so, it would have to be very large.
An easier feat is to make a valkyrie, as it's design is very simple and doesn't transform.
The holiness of the following for Lego fans may be to much for them to bear, possibly burning their eyes out. You have been warned. Approach the humble creator, Erik Varszegi, and tremble before the ungodliness that is his creation
i saw this video that a friend showed me. its a guy making gundam out of lego. it came in 4 planes i think and they could be combined to form the gundam. AMAZING!!!
Edited OP Added Sufinsil's contributions. Added Gundam V2 Transformation Video contributed by JMave Typo fixes. Maybe get the videos I added on Page 2 and 3 on the OP, but it might take a shit-ton of time to load if I put in too many. EDIT: Added remote control Siege tank link Added ProjectVirtue's stop Motion movie
Lego Company has made updates to Lego Digital Designer. The Lego Universe Build option is now available, and get this: The Lego Universe Brick Palette has almost every single lego brick ever made! The Paint option also allows you to paint any brick any color, at all! Anything that can be made out of lego can be made in LDD!
Here is my progress on a Lego Battlecruiser I'm working on:
As one might be able to figure out, this is the bridge for a BattleCruiser in SC2.
There is, however, a Downside. Certain Bricks in the lego Universe palette, in particular the ones that aren't very mainstream and are quite out of the way, like really funky aesthetic pieces aren't available for shipping. If you want to ship your model or upload it to the site, you must not use the unavailable bricks.
You know how whenever you see the back engines of battlecruisers, both in-game and in the art, the engines always have a diamond-like formation? You can see it quite well in this image when the battlecruiser faces north:
Got that shape in your head yet? This should give you some perspective on how large the BC model is going to be (:<
Using Lego Digital Designer's View mode capture of the first engine by itself: + Show Spoiler +
And now the 4 rear engines in comparison to the size of the engines the original, small model would have: + Show Spoiler +
I can't progress much further with the model though. My graphics card and processor on this laptop are both bricks, and I get the feeling that if I put much more into the model the computer itself would explode. So, until my new computer arrives and I can't start whooping ass with my fancy, fancy graphics card, I have to delay the designing.
Hey guys, I'm planning on a doing a set conversion series from off-the-shelf Lego sets to Starcraft units. The general idea is that I will post instructions that allow you to go to Walmart, buy a $20 set and built it into a Starcraft unit without requiring you to buy custom parts.
However, I'm not sure what the best way to do it. I don't have a good camera but I don't know what the best way to generate good step-by-step instructions are.
