This is why I've set up at a distance from the village. As far as I can see we will have a constant need for wood not just to build as the city expands, but also for repair of our current wooden products (like boats and carts). But I definitely agree that the deforestation around the village hit overdrive and we need to relocate the lumber industry away from the village. Also, the need for LP for unskilled characters is one the village needs to address, since obviously bucket grinding is not going to work. My proposal is that we appoint a "foreman" who can intake and disperse build orders and material requisition requests, or perhaps set up some other way for people to put in calls for supplies or labor that unskilled characters can perform. Not only should a centralized system of labor like this improve efficiency by specialization (and by implication get us more skilled characters), but it will also save the environment and get new characters the resources they need to gain LP in ways other than woodcutting or fishing (by allowing them to invest in more resource-intensive skills earlier). | ||

Wow harsh ive never had any sort of ingame discussion beyond hi, but there doesnt seem to be a lot going on in my kneck of the woods the 2 closest villages are pretty backwards looking. | ||
