i believe i've hit rank 4 around 6 to 7 times, but i never officially got the rank because i always got disconnected before the match ended..
It's just server stability issues, everyone is stuck dealing with it at the moment. Just remember all unlocks and ranks don't matter in about a month or so just remember not to work too hard on unlocks and ranking up ;D
yeah this lol. You'll have to start over anyway. I'm having a blast with the beta though :D
Are the jets easier to fly than BF2? Cause every time I get in one of those I feel like I'm just wasting space that someone on the server could better fill. lol Like on Wake Island 2007 I never get bomb hits or anything, I spray main gun but it never feels effective. I've even practiced this in my own local server and still can't get it down. Hopefully its a "tad" easier in BF3. edit-Can someone in Caspian throw up a couple 1080 resolution screen shots, I really want a sexy background. :D

Personally, I think its more difficult in BF3. Mainly because you have to unlock rockets, heatseekers, guiding systems etc. with only machine gun.

Wait, seriously? O.o. Are you limited to only one of these at a time, like in BC2?

Thankssss!!
You can torrent it.
Darn, I was hoping for a direct download... Guess I'll just wait till tomorrow.
0: First, you need Origin, EA's distribution platform. Download it here.
1: Launch Origin.
2: Check your Origin settings (click the 'cog' icon near the top right of the Origin screen and select 'settings' from the drop-down menu).
3: In the settings, note the directory for 'downloaded games'. By default it is "C:\Program Files\Origin Games" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games" depending on the version of Windows you have.
4: Close Origin by clicking the cog icon and selecting 'exit' from the drop-down menu. You need to exit entirely, not just minimise the program.
5: Extract the archive contents to the directory you identified at step 3.
6: Once the extraction is complete, rename the 'Battlefield 3 Open Beta' directory to 'Battlefield 3 Beta' (if it's not already).
7: Check that the archive extracted properly. You should see a directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3 Beta (or similar, depending on step 3) that has 6 files including bf3.exe and 4 sub-directories including Core and Data.
8: Start Origin and log in. You should now see Battlefield 3 as 'Ready to Install'. Click on that orange 'Ready to Install' button.

Could you post a screenshot of what your folder looks like? Because I have more than 6 files =(
I just hope the lag I was having on caspian wasn't because of my computer being shit >>. Hopes its it being everyone trying to get into a server and optimization issues because my fps seems so much lower in caspian then metro (in metro I get 35+ fps constantly).
Guess i'll see either when they let everyone play on caspian or full release .
For those curious
gtx 570 intel quad Q8400 2.66 (pretty sure if I could upgrade this it would be awesome but can't but I imagine this bottle necks my card a bit). 4 gigs of DDR2 800mhz ram windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.
