As we prepare for the upcoming year in MapleStory, Dual Blades, Cannoneers, Mercedes, and Demon Slayers are becoming “limited-time” character classes. These character classes will not be available in the Character Creation screen starting with the March game update, scheduled for the second week of March.

Please note this restriction will NOT affect any of these classes that were created before the restriction goes into effect.

If you haven’t started your journey as a Dual Blade, Cannoneer, Mercedes or Demon Slayer, head into MapleStory and get going today!

Bad news. I recently got in with the semi-inner circle of hackers (friends of cam, mojito, etc) and I found out just how deep hacking and duping runs in maplestory. They know about the release of maplestory 2 and are planning to milk maplestory out in around a year and a half. This means selling dupes, hacking accounts (yes they can do this, it's really easy from what I heard. cam isn't but other people are going to). To be clear, this isn't solely because maple 2 is coming, but because the player numbers are dwindling. Apparently they calculated that most of maple will be gone in around 2 years, so they're jumping ship by then.

There's also a huge influx of meso right now in the servers Khaini, Bera, Windia, and Scania. Mojito's meso exploit got privately released to people in those servers and there's (my estimate) ~2 trillion extra mesoes floating around in each server somewhere. They didn't use the mesoes yet but it's there. They're probably going to sell them.

Also, protection scroll exploit has been out for awhile and more and more people know about it now. This means a lot of godly items in the future.

The leaked dupe was out for 4 days, and was patched (crashless shop). I'm not sure how many more godly items there are now.

Watch out for these fairly soon:
SSS dupe going public
ZQ jump exploit (15k exp every 2 seconds or so)
protection scroll dupe going public
I also heard some talk about cube exploit using the old hot time reward but this may or may not be true.


Just a little heads up, I already sold my entire account while the items are still worth something. You might want to do the same.

I think everyone here already knows all of the above. We just play for fun, not profit. Although I spent a good amount of real money on the game, its still chump change compared to the amount of money I spend outside of the game. Its all good. I dont think and sure hopes the TL MS players dont take this game seriously, but thanks for the heads up anyways. Also some of us have known hackers since the beginning of MS beta days, meso sellers, dupers, etc, it was just a matter of time before hacking became rampant.

To be honest, i think maplestory hacking was much worse 4 years ago with all the paypal and fake credit card scams as it involved more than just the game itself.

As for making real money off of the game, I'm not aware anyone here actually does that? I always had a good chuckle at people on w8 that sell their accounts and stuff to strangers. For the amount of time it takes to set that stuff up I'd make more money just staying at the office a few extra hours. haha. oh well, to each their own.
