Personally I wasn't into tppking, but my god the funniest moments in gaming came from seeing people get tppk'd or tppkers getting pked themselves. I don't know if the monk just sucks ass in pvp or what, but I had a pretty meh experience. I loved D2 because of hardcore. i was a big tppker, and I think everyone enjoyed D2 because of what was broken about it, not what was fixed. You know, duping, hacking, selling, pking, etc, was all that made d2 such an awesome game. I think a legit diablo experience would suck. [...] Are you a politician ? Which one is true ?

On topic I enjoy duels on hc, even more when you lose your character. If you don't like it simly don't play on that mode.

I agree with that kind of philosophy and I hope they will permit duelling in a double sided agreement for HC players that want it. The more options the better game.

One of the big reasons I didn't play HC in diablo 2 is people being assholes and killing you out of nowhere (or through cows, etc). I can't believe anyone over 14 years old enjoys that... As far as PvP goes, I'm quite certain Blizzard has already stated they don't want people to lose their HC characters through PvP and they DO want people to be able to play PvP in HC. Their philosophy is that you put in a lot of time on those characters and if you die in 1 round of PvP it effectively removes PvP play for a lot of people. I agree with them, although a death match mode could be cool. Still, it will be so unbalanced in PvP and I would never attempt it myself.

I'm entering a leveling contest later. Does anyone have any advice? It's supposed to be first to level 5. I got to 6 in 20 mins with a Witch Doctor.

A simple fix for that would be to remove your PvP ability in HC if you get killed by another player. Making you ''Defeated'', but not killed so you can still play PVE.

I noticed the D3 collectors edition is available for pre-order on Amazon via Team Liquid. How fast should we expect this game to ship on release day? I remember reading about the Heart of the Swarm pre-orders (Amazon via Team Liquid as well) coming in on release day itself, obviously during shipping hours. Will this be similar? It was also mean any pvpers who want to avoid the "pay to win" aspect of the RMAH would have a place to play without that influence.

When I order something in Canada at amazon.ca they sen things the day of release, depending on what type of shipment you paid I receive it the following day or the day after. When I lived in France and preordered stuff they were sent one or 2 days before release so I can get them the right day... I don't know if that helped ![]()

As a grindfest hater, I checked it out just to be smug about it and in a couple of minutes they made me a bona fide believer. The game looks fucking incredible. Diablo better put on some makeup fast! it really does make diablo 3 look boring doesn't it? lol And if it stays true to Lineage 2 at least, it'll be on a massive scale, not 9 player rooms.

It looks fun, and looks amazing as well. I do not know if the story will compare to Diablo III though. I will admit this; just from the looks alone, the mage looks so much nicer than in Diablo III. At least in terms of smoothness of movement and just enjoyment of casting skills. I have always been a mage/sorc fan but watching Diablo III turned me off, the skills look very still and not very fun. Between the fire and the Okami like slash cast, it looks fun. The fire looks sexy! And the skill that turned me off in Diablo III is disintegrate. Doesn't look fun and rather looks, eh.. But still, getting Diablo III CE and will play the hell out of it!
