I loved D2 because of hardcore. i was a big tppker, and I think everyone enjoyed D2 because of what was broken about it, not what was fixed. You know, duping, hacking, selling, pking, etc, was all that made d2 such an awesome game. I think a legit diablo experience would suck.

As far as PvP goes, I'm quite certain Blizzard has already stated they don't want people to lose their HC characters through PvP and they DO want people to be able to play PvP in HC. Their philosophy is that you put in a lot of time on those characters and if you die in 1 round of PvP it effectively removes PvP play for a lot of people.

I agree with them, although a death match mode could be cool. Still, it will be so unbalanced in PvP and I would never attempt it myself.
