Come on! So hyped.
It's great that Cure gets to play in D.C. (his first foreign tournament?) but I almost wish he got more reward in addition to the place.
I mean, to get to Battlegrounds D.C. he's taken out Polt (twice), GuMiho, ByuL, Petraeus, Rogue and herO (twice)! What an incredible run.

Cure has been looking better again recently. Good games in PL and in Iem qualifiers. Hope he can kerp it up and reach his form that he had a couple of months back

My next favorite game of his was when he just absolutely took a shit and dominated Zest in the gsl in a way that no other terrans were doing so. This also took down arguably one of the best protoss's at the time.

It would be amazing, but it's quit hard for terrans nowadays, and only 2 places, you have to be very lucky (bracket etc) to go through stage 2. So it's impossible to predict and not really wise to place hopes in this qualifier ( from fan pov).

After failing to qualify for 3 consecutive GSLs, I have to imagine he'd start to contemplate retiring. While it would be sad to see a player go, especially one who I think had skills to achieve more than he did, doing his military service and then starting a new career might be the best choice.

He wasn't playing sc2 when he tried in 2017.
He was one map away and he got the toughest bracket two times in a row. Retiring would be an overreaction.
Plus we dont know about SSL and Katowice is soon so.

I still have faith in Cure no matter his results. His career is a pattern of underperformance tied in with streaks of great ability.
Cure is my favorite player so I am eternally biased, but I hope that before all it's said and done for him that he is able to finally with a tournament in a way that is representative of the talent that he has (and always has had).

The score doesn't really reflect the games physiognomy, however TY was undeniably superior during this BO7. He was simply phenomenal during this GSL by eliminating the best Zerg, then the best Protoss of the moment and ending with a victory over the best player.
I am glad that Cure is now invited to all the important tournaments, I hope he will win the next GSL.
