Yum Bo Sung, better known as Sea, began his playing career in 2005, playing for the team Pirates of Space, which upon becoming sponsored became MBC game heroes in April 2006, and staying with them until the team was disbanded. His most recent team before Liquid' was Team 8. Sea was a notorious beast in proleague, earning the nickname " L'enfant Terrible", but despite this success was unable to win an OSL or MSL. Read more about Sea here!
After his brief venture into StarCraft 2, he retired and went back to playing Brood War. He plays in many SOSPA organized matches and tournaments, and got his first win in his first tournament after retiring, the 11th SOSPA Ranking Tournament.
Yay :D Thanks for making this, was thinking about making one myself, but im abit busy these days and updating TaeJa's FC is commitment enough for me, sadly!
Sign me up. I wish him the best. It was hard to watch his struggles in the end of BW but i hope TL signing him will invigorate him and in the end make it an even better outcome.
Guys, I'm working through signing you guys up slowly, I'm going to have to call time for a while, I've got to go to the dentist to get my teeth looked at. I'm always open to new artwork slash banners, so if anyone is feeling creative, go nuts and I'll credit you in the op. (I'll get around to that in a few hours.)
Kerotan I sent the guy who helped me with graphics for the TaeJa-fanclub a PM to give you a holler if he has time to make some stuff for this OP as well - His name is Kenny_oro and he's making some pretty cool stuff
woah he's playing without game timer... and i don't see any other clock. perhaps he's using a real watch? or does he play entirely without timings? what do you think?

Maybe its new computer setup and he forgot to set it up.
good news, the fan roll is currently up to date, and there is quite a bit more content in here than when I started. XD Cheer for Sea and for liquid in his next match in the EGMCSL, where Liquid goes up against empire and Sea will play in series 4 against the Russian Terran Happy.
This dedicated Korean fangirl posted this in the Ten Commandments thread - I assume it belongs here!

If there is ONE fanclub I'd join, it's definitely be this one. You were a pleasure to referee during WWI in 2008, your personnality is just so honest and cheerful, even towards people you don't know in one of your first time abroad, so best of luck, work hard, and I hope to see you again soon ;-)
He seems very personable, from his past history from liquid and his happy demeanor on his stream. and for once a streamer that actually smiles and shows emotions. <3
I remember in that TL attack, where he fought carriers with a bio mech force and was explaining how good stimmed marines were vs. interceptors. This was something that I would never consider just seeing standard mech vs P in every televised game. It blew my mind.
Big ups for acknowledging the foreign BW scene back in the day, commenting on how good Mondi and Cloud were, etc.
Although I didn't follow BW much, I did watch Hyungjoon becomes a progamer, and loved Sea from what I saw of him in it, he's a perfect pickup for liquid, sign me up!
I've been a fan of Sea since I started watching brood war. The passion he shows in the booth is unrivaled. He's always been a bit of an underdog, especially in individual leagues, but you could always get behind him so easily. I'm so happy he joined Liquid and I will continue to cheer for him forever. Sea Fighting!
Sea, i was really impressed by your stream the other day, as well as the fundamentals of your performance in the team league debut, so, thanks a lot for entertaining me!! may your career in liquid be one of domination!
Alright, fan roll updated, and links to the liquipedia articles on both sea's brood war and starcraft 2 career have been added. And just in time to see Sea stream.
Liquid moving in a pretty dominant position with this move. Team is now 50% Korean. I'm so glad Liquid got another terran. I can't wait to see him in IPTL. (I hope)

Games played too far in advance unfortunately. But you'll be seeing a lot of him in EG MC! He's in the line-up next week against Fnatic.
Found out Sea's NA account is ranked 4 in my division, and im ranked 5. The closest im ever getting to him. Had to SS it. He's played 15 games and won all 15 on NA.

The sun shines on the sea! They talk about "the optimism of youth", this guy has it in spades. Must be surreal for the liquid guys to have Sea so happy and playing for / with them.
rofl, Sea is playing on a barcode account. If you can't stop them, join them. Just kind of ironic since he's streaming right now, so his FPVOD is... kinda out there already.
Sea fighting! Allready one of my favorite streamers. Always have good manners and jokes a lot. Only thing he almost plays to fast so you will almost feel seasick (no pun intended) from watching his stream, if you already have a bit hangovers xD Love your stream, love your play, love your jokes and good manners. Perfect represent for TL. GLHF ! :D
Liquid'Sea joins the new wave of Liquid Koreans seeking to make a splash. Surfing the current of his BW successes, his SC2 skill-level is approaching high tide, as he strives to quench his thirst for victory.
Drawing from his large reservoir of skill, Liquid'Sea's mechanics are as fluid as running water. It is a pleasure to watch his armies flow through the map like a river, while his medivacs rain drops upon the opposition in a pluvious fashion. His harassment leaks through the enemies' defences to drown their workers with gunshots, making the opponent's income trickle to a drop. Often, Liquid'Sea floods his adversaries with superior macro; a steady stream of units is always gushing out of his base, engulfing the battlefield with a fountain of carnage.
It is no wonder he has an ocean of fans who are wet for him.

Great read. Also awesome laughter when he finds a hole in the enemies play.

Sign me up, during the these days of SC2's future controversy watching Sea's stream reminds me of how fun this game is. None of the "too serious" bullshit, A great character even with still pretty poor English he is very entertaining!
I want MC vs SEA showmatch BO9 with both of them streaming! :D
can't say im a big fan of his and don't know much of him but i do have to say his team/name to Handle combination is the best I've ever seen. Liquid Sea sounds dope deep and spiritual type of way.
After all those hours watching him stream I cannot wait to see him playing at IPL5, his first offline SC2 appearance. Together with Taeja and HerO he will conquer Las Vegas.
On November 30 2012 05:07 Anthonie wrote: Sea eliminated by B4 2-0
Not yet eliminated, he still has to play loser's bracket. Still sad though.
Yeah meant that~ Means his chance to get far just got much lower :/
To be fair, IPL5 as his first foreign experience is a bit rough. I think he will rather make foreign splashes at events Dreamhacks or IEMs at first. It will take a while until he can go really far in the most stacked tournaments imaginable.

He brutally murdered him with Mech at the recent EG MCSL match vs Slayers so I am pretty optimistic.
Ah, then it should be good~ I don't really follow Genius much but I heard good things about him a month or two back so got kinda worried. I was hoping Sea could make a big splash at ipl but his loss this early got me worried. :c
Sign me up please. I joined with SC2 and didn't know anything about Sea before he joined Liquid but now I find myself regularly watching his stream and I enjoy it a lot. I'm a fan now and I hope I will see him at a European event someday
His games are just so fun to watch, from the crazy proxy marauder vs proxy marauder to long macro games. I really love his stream. Can't wait to see him play for EG-TL this week-end.
Also wonder why Sea isn't part of EG-TL in Proleague currently. So far has not been fielded at all. And in week 1 he wasn't even with the team in the studio. Strange. Wonder what's up.

Here is more information on his recent retirement from SC2:
On December 20 2012 10:24 LTY wrote: From Sea's first day of brodcasting in Afreeca, he mentioned how he left the team. He wanted to stream in Afreeca because viewers were different in Afreeca than viewers in twitch, where he wanted to have fun with viewers rather than just play hard and win games. I guess language barrier was the biggest wall. So he asked Nazgul if he can stream in both server, Afreeca and twitch, but he wasn't able to since Twitch is partnered with TL. He earned about $3000, $500 from TL, and $2500 from streaming sessions. He also did really well in tournament, where he earned $200 from IPL.
But why did he left when he can earn more money in SC2 than in BW? He mentioned how BW was more fun to play than SC2. Like in gameplay, where SC2 is made for everyone that it is easier for everyone to play than BW.
Anyway, this is getting long. So basically, he wanted to have fun playing games with viewers. I hope this answers some questions about how Sea left.I am Korean by the way, which means my first language is Korean, so don't assume I made some stuff up because that's how I heard from stream.

It's really great to sea someone pursue what they enjoy in life as opposed to what they can make money on. So many problems would be fixed in the world if more people followed this philosophy. Sea 화이팅!!!

Dear SC2 fan
Your SC2 player fanclub has just been hijacked by the BW bandits.
sea's got a pretty big match vs larva coming up in 7 hours in the afreeca bw scene. Larva tore through his group of former A team pros (larva was a B teamer) and got 2nd in the 7th sonic starleague. A real test for bo sung coming up!
sea not only crushed him flawless 3-0, he donated afreeca balloons to some random afreeca qt streaming between the games and alt tabbed out to play dragon rider during the game itself.
seems like he really wants to play broodwar professionally again.. miss his stream T_T but i really respect him for choosing passion over money/sc2/a game he don't like.
Woop Sea 11th SOSPA Ranking Tournament champion, crushing Mong with a really convincing 3-1 in the grand finals. Awesome stuff, looking forward to seeing what he can do in SSL 8!
Sea still got it, apparently. AFter bad performances for some time he managed to steal the first place in the recent Supermatch hosted by Sonic, beating sSak, Killer and Larva.
Also this might be one of the most entertaining games of BW I've seen in a long time.
Yeah, he hasn't exactly delivered the best results lately. Hope this SRT goes a whole lot better for him, even though the group is pretty terrifying to look at.
Actually made it to the semi finals today. Gonna be facing by.hero in a bo5, definitely looking forward to seeing what he can do with it. Managed to barely inch out a victory over Mong, 3-2, in the Ro8.
please add me too kristoffer, sea is one of the greatest players of all time, its so nice to see him having great success again after he failed so miserably in sc2
Alas he wasn't when I went there I wasn't sure, but is that basically a non-stop stream of BW goodness that switches between players?
If so a certain channel has a keen follower!
Yeah. It's mostly between Ex-Pros and a couple of really good amateurs. Larva, Killer, Sea, SSak, Movie, Shuttle, Tyson, Hiya, Pusan and a couple of amateurs that you don't know unless you've watch any SSLs or SRTs are restreamed quite often.
Alas he wasn't when I went there I wasn't sure, but is that basically a non-stop stream of BW goodness that switches between players?

Ohh and Sea is in the semifinals of the SRT. Which is on August 2nd. The finals are going to be on the 6th if you really are a fan of Sea. He also played Killer in the last SRT and won 3-2 which is amazing considering that Killer is basically the god of SOSPA events right now by god I mean he has won every tournament he has entered except the last SRT where he lost to Sea in the finals.
So with three SRT championships in the bag, Sea's once again making an appearance in the next tournament. It'll be on the 18th, in a group with Sky, Hi and Snail. Should be an easy group for our Liquid Terran :>
