Juan "VortiX" Moreno Durán is a former professional WarCraft 3 player and a professional StarCraft 2 player from Spain. He started his international carrer in WC3, attending tournaments such as the ESWC in Paris or the Blizzcon finals in Germany.
He started to play StarCraft 2 with the release of Wings of Liberty. He has a good micro and a very good macro, and has a great ability to spread creep, especially against Terrans.

I wanted to make this thread for a while, and as I've lived in Barcelona and as I can speak a decent Spanish I though it made sense + VortiX's been my favorite player to watch this summer.

Very very nice showing in the Europe WCS; losing to Stephano is no shape, he's one of the very best zergs out there. Hope VortiX will do well in Valencia, until then I will update the OP next week with the photos from WCS I can find

Very impressed with the performance today defeating a Murderer's Row of three Korean GSL and WCS champions in a row, and particularly in the manner in which it was done, showing a very complete game with ability to macro, execute and defend against cheese, and be patient in choosing engagements to get a favorable one. You handled the pressure very well!

He said that he didnt feel ready for DH Leipzig but will catch up the next Big tournaments! Be patient! :D So glad to see him come back !!! :D

So...what happened? Lucifron dissapeared before vortix, but that wasn't really surprising since he anounced that. But haven't heard from vortix in a while. Did he retire after all? Or just really long break?

He's still playing, but he probably didn't want to participate in the regional challangers for DH Montreal for some reason. I expect he's going to participate in the server qualifiers because there's more spots(8, in fact) and that he's going to go to DH Valencia. I am going to be very surprised if he doesn't do that, since he did qualify for the main events so far(couldn't attend the first one due to personal reasons) and DH Valencia is of course organized in Spain.
