Her games vs. Hyun were veerrrry fast. I walked over hoping to catch the end (was getting dinner) and then I saw her walking away and asked if she won and she said "yeah," and I asked "2-0"? and she's like "yeah", like it was nothing. :D I caught most of the games she played this week. If anyone needs summaries of games, let me know. | ||

What you have to remember is that in order to survive in the SEA region you really need fantastic ZvZ. So Petraeus is probably one of the best ZvZ'rs out there at the moment. Scarlett has potentially been a little weak on her ZvZ ever since the change in the meta (i.e spore crawler change) | ||

C'mon Scarlett, get that crucial sleep time, recharge your strength and focus, this is your day today. You've wrecked Life in the past, you will do it again. You KNOW you're better than him! We all are cheering for you Scarlett you have this tournament won there's no one you can't beat. There scared of going late game with you so they'll try some real early pressure to try and win fast. | ||

However, this is where Scarlett shines - she has exactly the counter style to such a constant pressure, she's not impressed by this stress factor, she plays fearless, she puts hatches down just nearby where she clashes the army with her opponent, she spreads creep until the last moment of the GG, and things like that. Versus Life, your macro just has to be that good, and she has it. The way I imagine their games will be, Life will start with early pressure and will keep pouring constant small packs of lings/roaches during the game to do these runbys at the 3rd or the natural, while at the same time he will push with a main army mainly consisting of roach/hydras. At least that's how I see his zvz goes usually. And he just puts hatches down when he detects he has pushed the opponent back enough as to give himself a long enough timeframe for a quick expand. It's like he relies on these runbys to concern the opponent with defending well enough, while he actually expands. To counter this, Scarlett will probably resort to static defence in the bases as she has done lately, while at the same time attempting map control with mutas, and gathering infestors /hydras for a final push. She will need quite the static defense, as Life is just constantly trying attacking the opponent drones. I estimate it will be a very interesting clash of completely different views, Life plays roach heavy while Sasha plays muta/infestor heavy. Also, what I very much like is how she frequently macro hatches lately, this is very smart. | ||
