The structure of the group stage is identical to GSL groups, with matches being Bo3. In addition to HerO, the group consists of HerO starts out with a PvT against Happy. When the groups were first announced, it looked like he would be facing Scarlett first, but with the newest Liquipedia update it seems it is indeed the sole Terran of the group that has the privilege of facing HerO. Happy is a very competent European Terran, being part of the Empire Terran triumvirate also featuring Kas and Beastyqt. His TvP is statistically his best matchup, which sets him apart slightly from his comrades; most of his time in the limelight has been due to his TvT though. Having a well above 60% win rate is impressive, but the standard of opponent he usually faces is a definite tier below HerO in terms of skill. Happy cannot be pleased about the group selection, it looks pretty rough for him and this game might be a key for him to have a good chance of advancing. Still, HerO's recent form in the matchup is quite spectacular, and while Happy is an online force to be reckoned with, I would imagine that this was the best draw for him to start off the group. As an aside, it would be quite sweet indeed to see this little gem of a PvT build in a tournament game. The game in question starts just before 3:08:00. it is quite beautiful. The other two are formidable Zergs. In fact, Scarlett and Slivko remind me a lot of mini-versions of Stephano and Nerchio. For a Protoss, nothing about that seems good. Scarlett may have earned the moniker 'the best kept secret in North American StarCraft'. We don't get to see her participate in tournaments often, she does not stream, she is a fan of barcodes and/or untraceable smurf names. What we can say is that she initially broke out and made a name on the back off a beautiful ZvP and seems to have improved upon that feature considerably since then. Slivko on the other hand looks shakier ZvP. Not that he has a horrible record there, but he is quite mortal in the matchup. Scarlett may or may not be, crushing North American opposition is impressive but not enough to truly let us know where she stands. Slivko most recently lost the finals of the EPS Berlin 1-3 to HasuObs, but in general is quite adept at taking down his Protoss foes. I would imagine that HerO should be slightly favored against Slivko, against Scarlett I have no idea. Lag will obviously not be on the side of HerO for this, but if he is on somewhat equal footing he can be expected to make it out. Of course, seeing that Taeja already advanced is indicative of this happening, there will not be a Liquid team-kill unless the second part of the equation follows. All in all, this tournament is quite stacked. It also heavily features the European vs. Korean factor, which in recent memory has been quite unpredictable and enjoyable to watch. Throw in a possible Scarlett vs. HerO match, which in itself may provide some answers to several questions, this group would be a very nice watch for anyone. For HerO fans it should be quite the treat! The group is set to kick off at 17.00 central European, 11.00 Eastern. For people fluent in German, Take usually provides excellent commentary on http://www.twitch.tv/taketv or you could take the leap and become an imbalonian over at http://www.twitch.tv/imbalancedtv if you prefer English.

And I really want to see more double Starport builds in PvT. Not entirely sure what triggered it, probably the fact that the game was played around four o'clock at night more than anything he scouted. But Pheonix harass = sexy.
