I can't believe people say viOLet or MC have better English than Polt. MC certainly not, but Violet? To my non-English ears his English sounds at near native level. Polt's not. But he lives in USA and obviously improves very fast. | ||

Game 1 Neo Planet S IIRC (the snow map with 2 golds in the middle) Polt took massive damage from a roach bling bust but managed to hold on for quite a long time with good micro, but never had the economy to support his pushes. Game 2 Belshir Vestige, exactly like Polt vs Hyun game 3. Revival made mutas and managed to fend off Polt for a while, but he never had a chance. I guess Polt just owns this map. Game 3 was most disappointing, on Newkirk Polt manages to make a push at 190 vs 170 supply of Revival and an upgrade lead, while taking a 4th. However he just couldn't push into Revival's baneling defense while Revival's mutas wrecked his eco. I guess maybe Polt's plan was to end the game right there, since the muta was revealed a long time before that but Polt just didn't build turrets and even took all the defending mines with his army. Then Polt's 4th at the inner 11 o'clock base gets sniped, while his army couldn't make any headway through the inner 5 o'clock (the normal 3rd base of the right spawn). In the end Revival managed to get a supply lead as Polt ran out of steam, and from there the game was over. I don't know if Polt is not confident enough with his attacks, or if biomine is inherently slow to push with, but it's quite frustrating to see Polt lose time and time again because his massive army takes too long to break through a single choke against the zerg's ling-bling defense. Exactly the same thing happened vs HyuN on Neo Planet S a while ago, I think right after the first HotS MLG. Hope he finds a better composition, or a way to do his trademark bold attacks with biomine (remember the game vs DRG at MLG where he just decided enough was enough and marched across the whole map to kill DRG? I think that was bio + thors or something). | ||
