WhO is DarKFoRcE? DarKFoRcE is Jonathan Belke, born in 1988, and a professional sc2 player. DarKFoRcE started his gaming career in WC3 at the age of 15 for well-known clans like DkH, ocrana and pro-Gaming. He switched to SC2 during the beta, playing protoss first, then finally zerg. He plays as terran sometimes in 3v3 or 4v4 matches though. DarKFoRcE currently is a member of Team ALTERNATE. He also is a high level Go-player, playing in the german first national league, and a dedicated poker player. He studies anthropogeography with minor subjects economy/english at the University of Erlangen.
It's time for DarKFoRcE to get a fanclub, don't you think so, too? For many month now he is one of the top Zergs outside Korea and stayed in the top 30 worldwide at sc2ranks (rank #1 early in 2011). Many people got to know him from his weekly appearances at TaKeTV, where he built himself a strong fan community by his habit to speak out the unadorned truth, his ability to analyze a game and explain strategies to others, for his respect for opponents (this doesn't always include terrans with stimed marines ^^), and for his ability to play epic macro games with perfect multitasking. He is also loved by the audience for his addiction to cereals, his ability to electrify someone by laughter and for an epic lapdance, a GoGo-Girl performed on top of him. So he is someone really not to miss for you starcraft fans out there.
If you like DarKFoRcE and want to shout out to him, then just write a "count me in". Also please list quotes, interviews and pictures, if they are appropriate, i will include them in this post.
Wonder if more zergs will incorporate darkforce's lategame zvt style of mass broodlord / infestor. I've seen him do it on his stream and it looks so strong.
Socke (?) not building overlords. Or something about an 8 pool. Dunno.
Why is this so funny? I'm rofling but not sure why.
In the vid, he's urging Socke to build an overlord. Socke replies: " but i can do double extractor trick". Darkforce while facepalming: "Noooooooo! Come on, i know how to 8 pool!" xD
The first match is just hilarious, and that he stayed that calm all the way...
this is linked under the "interviews"-section, isnt it? i just linked the first episode, since youtube shows the others in the "related videos" list. but correct me if i'm wrong or if you want this game linked in the "epic games" spoiler.
screw that, your link is better. new spoiler section "Tactical advice" added ^^
Jonathan "DarK.FoRcE" Belke is a professional Starcraft 2 player from Germany. He was often mentioned as the best German Zerg Player before XLorD changed his race from P to Z WTF is this shit

perhaps xlord wrote that, looking at his NASL application. funny guy though;-) but we should really change that to some more objective facts. df is clearly the best zerg in germany. everyone loses games, even the best players in ladder have only 55-60% winning quota at the end of a season. so i think this sentence is just trolling.
@Hirnfrost: would you please strip this sentence from your article? xlord or his fans may write this in his own article, if they wish to do so, but its not related to darkforce and should not be mentioned there, despite this being wrong or right, which we should not argue about.
Love it when he is at TaKe's stream (either in person, or over Skype) and preferably Socke too. They are really good analytical casters, but they can also go all-out trollmode on terrans, which is just hilarious :D

"He was often mentioned as the best German Zerg Player before XLorD changed his race from P to Z. Despite loosing to XLorD in ZvZ Jonathan´s results still keep him at the top of German Zerg Players" I think this was stated in a German article quite long ago, but I changed it because it was pretty old. If you have anything you would like to add to his LP-page you can ask me or just do it yourself everybody with a TL-account can edit in liquipedia
nice editing, looks much better now. the reference to xlord was improper, he is nowhere at darkforces level. i wouldnt include the nicknames, though, i know he doesnt like "talkforce" too much, but do as you please. its not meant to be impolite by most people i guess;-)
Hmm, why didn´t he make it into Grandmaster? He was on top of the ladder the last weeks and did already play games today. Or is there something i forgot?

He didn't know what was up with that either but he finally made it this evening...
df really outplayed tt1 on map 1 and 3. on map 1 a huge muta-force cleaned up everything, map 2 was lost due to a failed 6pool, map 3 he again crushed tt1, who opened with 3gate expo, with constant harassments (zerglings and mutas in the minerallines) and the better army composition. really good game.
Go to minute 18. I will describe what happens for those of you who can't understand German. Naruto is at Take's place and playing some ladder. Darkforce is talking to them on skype. Naruto hits a player called "Archenemy" on the ladder and Take repeatedly asks him who he is playing (knowing that Archenemy is Darkforce's smurf account). Naruto however has no clue. Darkforce then pretends to be watching the stream and annoys Naruto saying things like "How can you lose to Zerg on close positions?" or "I thought you don't want to play all-ins anymore?! I am really disappointed." Finally Naruto understands what's going on and Trollforce explodes into laughter.

I watched that at the livestream. I had to laugh so hard as he played him on the old "shattered temple" and DF was like, " Ohhh no Thordrop what can i do" and defended it so easily. I dont think Naruto even won one game gainst him.
Congrats for making the Finals ! You said you could beat Naniwa beforehand and you were right Even though i did not believe it at that point ! So you got my respect :D Hope you show us some more good plays at the Finals.
I'm not the biggest Darkforce fan but I have to respect the amazing game he's playing versus Col.rsvp right now. Almost all of metalopolis is mined out and he must have dropped about 20 nydus worms throughout the game. Props to him for never giving up and continuing to push against Col.rsvp.
yep directly added to list of epic games in op. i doubt df did make one single mistake on this last map. and from tomorrow on he plays at the homestorycup 3 in a group with machine, white-ra and goody. i'm so thrilled...
Im jumping on the Bandwagon and sign me up for the Darkforce fan club. Not only is his play amazing but after seeing the NASL RO16 interview, he is such a nice guy. Up there with Sheth and White Ra. Go Darkforce ! Keep up the good work !
Part of the bandwagon! Sign me up - this guy is amazing! I love his zerg style, I want to find out how he spreads creep - like his method is so epic! So sad I'm going to have to miss his match tomorrow T_T
I always just knew him as the most talkative member of the Kompetenzteam, doing kinda well in the EPS. But the NASL is quickly becoming his breakout tournament. Beating Alive in an offline setting in lengthy macro games, showing us the best series of the NASL grand finals so far. Being genuinely happy and showing his emotions after the win. Being manner to Alive and charming in the interview after. Making Top 8 after a field stacked with so many worldwide top players.
Truly something to be proud of, Jonathan.
I tip my hat off to you, good sir. I think you have really made some new fans today! :D
Someone give a lapdance for this guy! Oh no wait... it has already been done ^ ^.
Congrats for the win, I don't think anybody was expecting you to be the only foreigner advancing (excluding Sen) ,but you showed us wrong . Good luck for the rest of the tournament.
Darkforce knocking out aLive!! Im watching this guy since a long time but he hasnt had a very good run in a big tourney until now. The western hope for NASL :D
I am a german guy and watched the 4 first games of the final yesterday! After this i was soo sad and went to my bed!:D Then when i got up today the first thing i made was to check the results of the other 4 games! Darkforce you make me sooo happy today....gogo you will beat SEN! I am studying in Erlangen, too, perhaps i will se you!
dude thats ok definately one of the best zergs in europe and next time you will beat sen.i know you are able to i really thought u had the first game so im a bit dissapointed tho
nope, he wouldnt have. the hold wasnt too close. he probably shouldnt have attacked, but im not a ZvZ expert, but i know enough to say this matchups sux xD
GJ darkforce, you rly deserved it since you train on rly hard for it - not all ppl seem to do this...

darkforce playing some great matches vs huk in assembly
i think he's a pretty underrated player, he did very well in nasl and now beating huk in the first game of their series, and doing very well in the second game, i'd say hes a player to keep your eye on
second @ Pokerstrategy Cup 3 http://challonge.com/pokerstrategycup3 won against kas and goody to roflstomp through the winner bracket, only to be goodyed 2x in a row -.- darkforce will also go to the wcg in korea with socke and goody to represent germany in sc2!
Nice Darkforce, good job you did there! Never forget that even if you are not the most famous player, there are always fans, that support you whereever you may go!
This needs more posts :D Good Luck with IEM Brazil ! (and try not to get to sunburned if you go outside, Rotti already looked pretty red when I saw him this afternoon on stream )
Darkforce is just brilliant, hope he will make it to the best of three. Its possible but he have to defeat voilet tomorrow in zvz, often coinflip but he was showing good games in nasl so he can make it.
One of the BEST sc2 series I've seen in recent memory. All 3 games, imo, were nail-biting action. If your half as big a lover of ZvZ as I am, you'll love this series.
I'm now a huge fan of DF. Just great show in these games. I thought all 3 games were just super exciting and impressive.
Youtube-channel added to the op, go subscribe it, there are some nice Zerg strategies explained, HotS analysis, explanation of esport bettings and much more interesting stuff!
