in case you haven't already done so - check this out:
this is super cute and funny and really pumps you up for the upcoming series of awesomeness.
this is sort of a pilot and it really motivated me to play more, as you realize how complex and difficult this game is - and also how easy it is to learn, as well as how difficult it is to master. after watching this it's very much obvious that miniWHEAT will very soon be spanking people like ogcMCs korean behind in a very convincing manner.
episode one! watch and learn, boys and girls! "and my whole army will go nuts!" loving it!
i watch in awe - and i truly believe this kid will be the most gosu bonjwa of all time. a zerg player at heart (even though i just play casually as random), i cant wait to see miniWHEAT rise to the top of the sc2 scene. he will win the gsl as soon as he has completed the campaign, there is no doubt in my eyes.
lets give him our support and encouragement to play, play, play, play some more - and show all his competitiors who's the real boss.
for perfect legibility , it is well worth noting that the divine entity known to us as miniWHEAT is in reality not yet a professional gamer, neither has he to my knowledge participated in any tournaments, produced any content of his own or otherwise displayed his no doubt miraculous skills in gaming or digital media. in fact, he is merely the spawn of one of our communities most revered gurus, the all powerful and awesome djWHEAT. how ever, the purpose of this thread is not to compete with the number of posts in the other fanclub threads, nor is it to make any serious claims about who's more skilled or who played best in what tournament. the purpose of this thread is, believe it or not, a lot more simple and a lot more meaningful than that. i wanted to show the little guy some love, you know, boost his confidence and provide him with some motivation to really stick with the game and always do his best. it's not just about starcraft, mind you, there are real people involved here. also, i thought it'd be good to let djWHEAT know that at least some part of this massive community is very excited about the upcoming material showing off a legend of e-sports teaching his five year old son to enjoy the game we all love. and that's it. please be loving and understanding when posting here - and please refrain from posting anything less than a three word sentence. thank you.

I have no idea what you are talking about mate .. care to explain ? Thanks!
It's actually in the op: http://djwheat.blip.tv/file/4172822/ turning 5 miniwheat did a review of lego Batman and Harry Potter on djwheat's show epileptic gaming.

He must have edited that, when I first read the op it wasnt there.. but thanks
My favorite miniwheat moment they were hanging out live before a show started and miniWHEAT walks in with a friend and they both pick up microphones and are having a great time. The first thing miniWHEAT said was "WATS UP BICHES!"

I thought fanclubs are for high ranked pro gamers?
I came across this quote recently from Kennigit.
For the same reason we would block a fan club for a random guy. He might be a big deal to you, but he isn't renowned for any wins in particular. Again, once he shows some tournament performance that will change pretty quickly.
I forgot who Kennigit was referring to in "he," but regardless we can see that miniWheat doesn't apply here? I'm just confused with the double standard that's been going around.

He is renowned for winning our hearts. Now stop being ridiculous.

Thanks for update on the issue (or at least quote of update)
GL miniwheat, keep up the good work and do well in school!
May no couch be out of leap distance, may no booger be unedible, may no cat vomit be too disgusting to investigate, and may everything be an emergency so you can troll your dad live in front of thousands of people. MINIWHEAT IS THE FUTURE!

Why not make a "MiniWheat Games&Cast" thread in Sc2 General, update OP with new content and fanboys can post in that thread instead ?
Actually there will be an official thread once Episode 1 get's released. But I want to make sure it's populated with some content and direction before I make it.
oh, such a simple matter - and yet so many of you seem to be having doubts about this. i'll update the op again, just so the hows and whys are as clear as i can make them for everyone.
why are you still reading this? go back to page one, you silly pro gamer wannabe!
You need to raise him like a thoroughbred gamer. Get all the big guys in the SC2 scene to coach him, get him Starcraft bedsheets. Race car beds? Fuck that, get a custom made helion bed. "Airplane coming in for a landing" when you're feeding him? That's scrub talk. "Medivac going in for a drop" when you're feeding him. Water balloon fights? Gimme a break. Get some green balloons and have a baneling fight. Check under his bed for proxy pylons. This is a golden opportunity Wheat!
Future, "hybrid zerg." James "miniWHEAT" Graham. 1 part charismatic western esports figure, 1 part korean RTS blood.
He'll be like the daywalker of Starcraft.
*cues Xena intro music.* In a time of ancient pros, grackens and kings. A land in recession, cried out for a hero. He was miniWHEAT. A mighter gamer, forged in the heat of ladder. The power, the passion, the macro. His micro will change the world.
Why would we not be allowed to make a fanclub? That's like if the one guy who doesn't like Day9 goes into the Day9 fanclub and says Day9 doesn't deserve one, hes not cool, bla bla bla. He's obviously just a troll. What's the difference here? We think miniWHEAT is cool and hope that he succeeds. Isn't that what a fanclub is?
On January 11 2011 08:50 uNiGNoRe wrote: Haha, the GG button at the end was just perfect. 100% going to join the fanclub. Can't wait for the first episode. I just hope he doesn't get bored too fast.
Haha this would be no different than kids doing something like boxing from a young age. Kids learn ridiculously fast, if he keeps at it he'll be the Mayweather of SC2. ; )
If Flash and Jaedong perfomed the fusion-dance, miniWHEAT would be the spawn. The beastest little pro-gamer we've ever seen! Strap in your seatbelts folks, I forsee a future of Ultra-GOSU GSL pwning action in this youngins future!
On January 16 2011 14:56 zooalt wrote: You could add some memorable quotes to the op. Something like: + Show Spoiler +
banelings go boom
one of my guys got dead
wow, my guys are doing good
bunch of zerglings, coming up
<3
nah, i think people should find out for themselves. brilliant statements like that just don't do themselves justice in writing. cheers, anyways, though.
This is such a good idea, I'm so exited for this series. Its going to be so much fun to watch miniWHEAT as he progresses as a player. I hope that he doesn't get board of the game a most young kids would be likely to do.
You did a pretty good job at explaining and miniWheat kept up pretty well! More importantly though, he seems to be pretty focused and has a lot of patience and enthusiasm for the game/learning. I know a lot of kids that age wouldn't be able to do this for more than 5 mins without getting distracted/bored.
Remember folks, if you don't work fast theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen the bad guys will come. This gamer is full of high level insightful advice. Watch for him in the gsl in a few years.
MOAR EPISODES OF HIS EVERGROWING EPEEN PLZ! This kid is amazing!
On a side note, I think it's comical (if he sticks with it) that he wont even realize how good is he, or is going to be. He's just playing it because he wants to be like his dad and do good lol
This is such a great series. Amazing to watch a little kid learn something. He picks up so many things about the game I would think hard, but then has trouble with numbers and left/right. It's quite cute.
I love that graphic of Miniwheat riding a mutalisk with helpful DJWheat tips.
He should NEVER change his ID NEVER. miniWHEAT for LIFE. I don't want 10 years from now for Tastosis (yeah they'll still be around) say ''now and here's oGsprime.wefOu the best player of all time he was once known as miniWHEAT'' I want to hear ''and now here is miniWHEAT the best player of all time'' (Don't mind the best player of all time bit)
Hahha, I showed my girl your first video, and now I'm training her too. She's used to watching, but not to playing. After 3 games she beat the hard computer! Inspirational stuff^^
It was so cool to see miniWHEAT work things out and remember what things did. Especially being so young. Also Liquid`miniWHEAT has a certain ring to it.... :D
While I think miniwheat is awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwesome, I threw up a little in my mouth reading your op. Do you have to do the whole "we are not worthy thing" for a kid who's only real accomplishment is being the son of a guy who's covered esports for a couple years? Its kind of gross.

that's good, i like puking. ^_^
i don't think cursing would be much appreciated, but i'm not certain how to reply to you criticism. maybe you should just stay away from this thread all together if you don't have a sense of humor or the ability to read the whole op before displaying your reactions to it in such emotional terms. actually it seems like you didn't read the op at all, since it clearly states that this thread has nothing to with celebrating the little guys accomplishments, but is simply an attempt to show him we really enjoy watching him learn starcraft 2 and want to encourage him to keep playing. it's really as simple as that. please get grossed out and throw up as much as you like, but at least be reasonable and keep it to yourself. thank you.

That is genius!
He shall grow to encompass the meaning of Starcraft, and will show us all what happens when a child is melded with The Overmind. The only way he could be Starcraft is if he spawned from Kerrigan herself.

Hahaha, that's such a damn good and hilarious idea. I'd raise my kid that way if i had one :D
WOW I'm blown away at how good he is at Starcraft. Aside mistaking left and right and steadiness with the mouse. He seems to be playing like a new player despite being a third of the age of an average new player.
I honestly want to go to MLG anaheim just to have miniwheat sign a shirt after that epic trolling he gave the old man =) Absolutely amazing little man!
does anyone have the link to him trolling dj wheat in that 3s with day9 present? something along the lines about asking why he wasn't red. then telling him his hatch died over and over again
miniWheat will definately be one of the most amazing players if his dad trains him well (he already is) and if he just keeps at it. I wish i had started that young. Best of luck to both DJWheat and miniWheat in all of their starcraft related adventures. :D
Sign me up, he holds the future of online gaming in his hands and I don't want to be on his bad side when he's older and ruling the kingdom, all hail MiniWheat!
In all honestly, I bet Mini will be really good at this game in a bunch of years. Can you imagine if your dad started teaching you Starcraft from age 5? He will undoubtedly be a child prodigy. What a baller, and what a lucky kid for having the greatest dad ever. <3

we'll make you one if you beat miniwheat. Until then, you can go grow a pair :D
I'm trying to get him to play some StarCraft 2, but he's going through a MineCraft phase soon. He plays a ton of stuff and is cute and hilarious.Enjoy :D
