Kinda funny game, if Nestea would haufe poked even once with a ling at the front he would at least been aware of the dts. And his map controll was also not perfect, he could have denied the probe of huk.
Right after the match IdrA tweeted, "dt + Blinkstalker imba". Yeah, sure.

HuK's build was funny, not that serious. Yes, he was going for the win... that's true, but he builded is DT's Shrine just in front of his nat so Nestea could see it and respond. He didn't.

And he took the time to write EG or EZ in pylon, knowing that Nestea's main and gold expand was still mining.

Yes, Nestea was fooling around a bit. But what should HuK have done? Letting him expand everywhere and then losing horribly? Why =(?

Showmatch are for fun. Nestea owning HuK in a long macro game is not fun. HuK going for a new super cheesy micro oriented build and owning Nestea... that is fun. It was fun for me, at least. ^^'

Haypro was probably not asking it for real, more likely he was being sarcastic about the nestea response to Mr Chae "Chris played too seriously". And how the hell 3 hatcheries before lair is fooling around? He may had some plans to be funny or so on mid-late game but his opening seemed pretty legit.

Nestea isnt also known to be a very humble guy, he was probably embarassed that got owned that hard and gave that answer preternding he was fooling around.

I made an account just to point this out. They screwed up HuK`s team name and had a picture of him on TL, not a big deal. But, all night it was like everyone ignored HuK. His team pretty much ignored him the whole time and when he went to face nestea NO ONE went into his both, when in the other matches you had the coach usually go in there (not to mention only voting one point on him, so much for fun, eh?). The same with Jinro, nestea even pointed out Jinro`s flaws, all in good fun but still. They did the same to Jinro, who used to be one of HuK`s teammates. Koreans always make fun of how bad foreigners are and they treated them horribly last night, look what happened. Jinro had a great game where he man handled Fruitdealer and HuK crushed nestea. Nestea made some pretty bad mistakes and HuK punished him and then crushed him to win. Of course, nestea was so baffled by the loss that he said HuK was to serious. Of course he was, you made fun of his ex-teammate and everyone completely ignored him. He was like the lonely kid at school there. You might say, ``but he wrote EG in pylons``, well. He is just telling all the guys at GSL and Gom what team he is actually on because they dont seem to realise that, again because they dont care about foreigners.

No, you're taking things too seriously . The people that are hardest on foriegners are foriegners themselves. You never hear a Korean talking about unbeatable Koreans are or "that [foriegners] should be ashamed of themselves for losing to Koreans" (Naniwa said that).

I think we saw a different stream last night. Koreans are relatively nice people and most treat huk nicely, people like MC. Last night though, oh, xenophobia like crazy. It seemed like they were disgusted to have HuK on their team and same for Jinro on the other team. We both know HuK and Jinro felt like that awkward kid who ate by himself every lunch and had no friends and no one seemed like they wanted to be friends with them. They had that feeling and all they wanted to do was make an impression and say HEY, I belong here.

True, but he sure did make nestea sour and make an entire community think otherwise. He proved to everyone he does belong there and he really sent a message to nestea and all other pros.

on KR he is in GM, on EU/NA he is #1/2 in his masters division due to inactivity (aka high points but also high bonus pool)

The 1 point thing was based on the rules, each coach could choose 1 match to bet 3 pts, 2 to bet 2 and 2 to bet 1. He bet 1 point on fruitdealer also, Nestea was favored on that match, let's not kid ourselves, maybe soon it will be different and we will say HuK is the favored, nothing wrong about choose Nestea vs HuK the match to bet 1 pt where people thought he would lose.

Huk also seem to be in very good relation with tons of korean players. Don't think things were as bad as you think, but who likes having their favorite players losing to anyone? At the end what matters is it was a showmatch and it was a very fun content with an exceptional happy ending for the foreign community. =D

You need to be very active to be GM, not just based on results. He can beat the rank 1 GM all day and still be out of GM. If you reach more than 90 bonus pool (not sure but i think it's 48 hours not playing to have that) then you're not eligible for GM. Put practice hours in custom games + laddering in 3 regions, don't think it's possible to be GM on all of them.

It's 180 to get dropped, 90 to be ineligible to enter (source:liquipedia).

90 bonus pool takes about 2 weeks accumulate, 48 hours would be so hard, your life would have to be starcraft all the time.
