Wouldn't surprise me if Puma bunker rushed him 3 times either. + Show Spoiler + Game 1: Revival goes for a 9 (8?) pool and Idra goes 14 gas 14 pool. Idra holds it off with minimal losses. Revival goes for a near speedling allin but Idra notices it and using lings + queens to block ramp holds it off. Revival's very far behind economically at this point so he just tries to straight tech to muta hoping to catch Idra off guard. Idra techs to lair and does a roach/speedling/baneling push. Game 2: Both players open 15 hatch. Idra goes Speedling/Baneling while Revival goes for roaches. Idra puts on presure killing 4-5 roaches and some zerglings. Idra drones very hard while revival builds up a large army. Revival goes for the roach speedling allin, for somereason Idra builds a wave of drones instead of units as he sees Revival's units leave his base. Idra is overran. Game 3: Idra opens speedling expand and Revival opens 1 base baneling. Revival pushes out and it looks like he can do a ton of damage but Idra's banelings pop out just in time allowing Idra to clean up most of the army. The remaining lings of Revival takes out Idras queen and then die. Revival goes 1 base lair with a roach warren, Idra manages to sneak a zergling into revivals base and scouts everything. Idra drones up like a madman, techs to lair, and throws down several spines. Revival pushes out with a large amount of burrow roaches, Idra has a small roach force himself with 3 spines at this point + overseer. Revival is too cautious about attacking into the spines and just ends up dancing around for a bit, allowing Idra to build up his roach force. Idra is given enough time to build a large roach force and revival either attacked and ran or just ran (can't remember sorry). At this point Idra has a larger roach force, has been mining off 2 bases for quite a while longer than Revival, and he has more drones. Idra just macros a bit more and pushes and wins roach v roach. Game 4: Both players open 15 hatch. Idra goes ling bane and Revival goes roach. This time they play a long 30 or so minute macro game. Idra gets ahead on upgrades, drone count, and gets his 3rd down faster. Idra attacks with roach hydra vs roach. Idra attacks into a horrible position but still ends up winning the fight due to more units/better upgrades. Revival's reionforceents end up holding off the attack. Idra goes in for round 2 a little bit later but this time revival is ahead on upgrades because of 2 evos to Idras 1. Revival once again gets better positioning and Idra loses his whole army. During this time Idra takes his 4th (gold). Revival counter pushes but Idra manages to hold. Both players macro back up to 200/200 for the 3rd time of the game. Both players start infestor/hive tech, Idra is ahead on both. Idra pushes out again and once again has the worse positioning so he is forced to fall back. Idra's macro has been way ahead so he is able to reinforce much faster at this point. Idra starts to tech to broods and revival techs to ultras. Idra pushes out before either broods or ultras are on the field. Idra's +3/+3 finishes a bit before Revivals and Idras roach/hydra/infestor cleans up Revival's roach infestor. Revival's ultra pop out after his whole army is dead so they do ntohing and revival is forced to gg

I spoilered it just in case anyone cares, but here's my best game-by-game recap of the IdrA v Revival series, for those who can't or couldn't watch it. + Show Spoiler + Game 1 - Dual sight. Revival 8 pools, IdrA 14 gas 14 pools. IdrA defends rush losing only 3 drones, comes out slightly ahead in supply, techs to banelings. Revival does not tech, keeps sending lings, manages to kill a queen, but that's it. IdrA safely expands, Revival is stuck on one base, tries to tech to Mutas while IdrA goes roaches. Revival expands, IdrA hits him hard with roaches before he can get muta tech, IdrA wins. Game 2 - Shattered Temple. They spawn close by air, send overlords to each other's bases, play exactly the same for the opening. They both expand fairly early, but when the overlord scouts pull away, IdrA goes banelings, Revival immediately goes roaches. IdrA tries to mount a large bust, but Revival reinforces with enough roaches and lings to hold, then pushes into IdrA's natural with too large a force for IdrA to fend off. IdrA gg's out. Game 3 - Xel'naga Caverns. Another 14 gas 14 pool opener for both players, IdrA magically takes an expansion, techs to banelings while revival goes roaches, and gets ahead slightly. His econ lead expands, IdrA gets roaches. Revival gets burrow for his roaches and then Lair tech. Idra gets lair tech a little later, but early enough to get an overseer before revival researches tunneling claws. IdrA's roaches fend off revival's roaches, and idra gets roach speed and +1 attack. Revival starts his +1 attack and +1 carapace a bit after IdrA, but IdrA contaminates one of his evo chambers, delaying the upgrade. At the same time, IdrA has mounted a huge Roach army, and hits Revival's army at revival's natural. The trade seems kind of even, but IdrA's reinforcements come in, +1 kicks in, and he eliminates revival's army before his +1 +1 dual upgrades arrive, IdrA wins. Game 4 - Metalopolis. You'd better watch the VOD for this one, it's pretty epic. And long. Here are some key points; They both early expand, IdrA takes his third first, but it's at the gold. Revival's third is later, and at the regular third. Revival techs to spire, so IdrA throws down a Hydra den. Both players have roach tech, IdrA has banes that don't do much (I don't remember them doing much). Revival seems to forget he has a spire, and builds absolutely no mutas, while IdrA builds a big roach hydra army. Idra eventually engages revival's army rather poorly (walks into a perfect surround), but his hydras add significant dps and he clears up the roaches until revival's reinforcements arrive and kill the hydras. Revival tries to push back but is thwarted by more roach hydra. This goes on for a while, and eventually when near max, IdrA pops out a few infestors. Revival only has pure roach, Idra has roach hydra infestor. Idra techs to Brood lord, but doesn't need to make any, as his ground army defeats revival's and as he pushes into his natural, revival gg's out. Epic, watch it. EDIT - Damn you Chewbacca!

Ah, tonight is going to be intense as long as it's not 3 bunker rushes in a row. The only "slack mechanics" PuMa displayed today was simply getting supply-locked a lot. This has been a "trademark" of his for quite some time, lol.

PuMa should consider supply drops ![]() PuMa doesn't macro all that much, so IdrA just needs to play defensive in the first 10 minutes of the game. He won't fall behind much if at all. Get a spine or two automatically, etc. Since he last played PuMa, the hellions won't do so much damage, and IdrA muta control is just top notch. I don't expect him to win, but I think we can expect a good showing.

Really hope he takes the tournament, he could use a new 1st place finish on his resume. Maybe that would shut some of the haters up.
