IU's still getting a lot of shit and the main reasons people usually do bad shit and out themselves is to get attention (Hilton, Kardashian). But IU is/was already at the top of the game, it's not like she'd gain any more recognition from this pic, she's so well known already. There would be literally nothing to gain from revealing that she has underage sex.

Besides, men DON'T like to be with high count women (at least for anything more than a one night stand) and so engaging in sexual behavior at 19 is not wise, period. Whether accident or not, the fact the girl engaged in behavior like this is more indicative of future behavior than you can guess. We can keep going on about how "everyone is doing it" (which isn't true in the least) but it doesn't change the fact that it is a good behavior to indulge in, especially for women because of the ramifications it can have on her future love life.

Plus your argument is a often-restated one and I don't think anyone here hasn't heard it before. On November 11 2012 01:31 aloT wrote: Two groups. Both rookies. Both with very different amounts of success and images... + Show Spoiler + I don't know if you can say the amounts of success is very different... the only difference to me is that AoA has a larger company behind them so they get into more music shows. I don't think they had a huge amount of success or anything either.

+ Show Spoiler + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_jR81yIzAk While I enjoy all of their songs as they seem to be really happy when they sing and their songs are quite upbeat, I personally enjoy the messages that they carry I hope that they do well! Here's one from YHE (?) 유희열' sketchbook! It was their first performance ![]() + Show Spoiler + In regards to the IU thing that SojoX wrote about, I do agree to some extent that it certainly tarnishes the 'image' that the character IU was going for, the overblown response should not be the first knee jerk response that the Korean netizens should have. The idea of death threats and insults over another's personal life boggles my mind in the sense that "yes you certainly can be loyal to the person/image that these celebrities portray, but to have a knee jerk death threat and burn down all of your products is totally fine" should not be tolerated. I personally don't really visit forums other than TL that much (especially DES/FOMOS/NAVER/DAUM/ETC) because it's a cesspool of exaggeration and anger. Youtube has that a lot as well in my opinion. Also in response to the "men DONT like to be with high count women", it's a matter of opinion. I think that while it's safe to say generally no one wishes to be with a girl with STDs, some men DO prefer women who have had more relationships because it will be a much more experienced relationship. Conservative Koreans live by this, but our current generation does NOT reflect those similar values that was once held. Trust me.

IMO burning your own shit is fine, whatever, but death threats aren't ok in any circumstances, particularly for an issue as frivolous as this one. As for the high count women thing, IMO it doesn't really matter. It's more important to get to know each individual girl rather than casting such a blanket statement like "I hate all girls who have had sex with numerous partners". Get to know who you're fucking with first and don't rely on broad assertions to judge them.

If you liked IU because you liked fantasizing that she could be your innocent virgin waifu then the illusion is ruined. If you liked IU because you thought she looked cute and enjoyed her music then it isn't. Why do you think the cute image is so promoted? it's to create an illusion of innocence. Otherwise they would've just gone full slut mode with IU, like they did with Hyuna.

Orrrr it could have nothing to do with it. Some idols keep their image stuff separate from their music, it doesn't have to be the same thing both on and off stage.
