- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)

Why is Girls' Generation's new song another let down? Does SM want to destroy the grains of love I have left for SNSD so badly?
|
I thought that was the whole point of the punch? the aegyo's so annoying you want to punch her in the face, it's essentially a taunt.
Sooyoungs aegyo way more annoying imo. Now that really wants me to punch her in the face.

I've seen comments saying SNSD is going downhill and then quoting a few of their recents songs while never putting into context the region the song is meant for. I think that's what firehand and I are trying to convey. I think SNSD has gone downhill since Gee, because I don't like any of the songs they've released after it. Are the songs they make beneficial to their popularity? Maybe, but that has no bearing on my opinion, which is why I don't know why Firehand brought this up in the first place. This isn't a discussion about the relative popularity of each group, it's a subjective discussion about music we like. Saying SNSD is going down the shitter isn't a popularity statement, it's a statement regarding personal opinion and should be regarded as such. Wait does this include studio quality covers? @Firehand I remember you, you were a really funny guy for a while. Gave me plenty of good laughs, hopefully this time you can stay around longer. Aha I try to stay off TL due to study and all that, but just had a 3hr exam today and so had to let off some steam....which means watching SC2 vods and commenting on TL for 7 hours Shame, you always bring such insight. Eh, but usually, Kpop songs tend to make sense in some form or the other. I can listen to a kpop song and typically be "Oh yeah, this is catchy. I get it." I listened to it once more, and the disconnect happened when it switched into the chorus. I felt like I was listening to a completely different song. Which made me do a musical double take.

Yeah I just posted a one-liner because that popped into my head while reading your post. Not a comment on the song/kpop as a whole or whatever. ofc we all know that my throught process went to "THIS SHIT IS LIKE CRACK" after that
