See, it got better, didn't it?

Shuffle? I remember someone posting it almost got worth it at ep 8 or far into it. Was it you?
Ouran - reverse right? Yeah, that was me. I said it got better at like ep 20 or something. But the harem itself didn't improve, just one character.
Ouran's reverse harem. Sorta.

Yeah. But I didn't expect it to dump a bucket of cold water on me ._.
@ whoever mentioned Shuffle!: Watch it for Kaede. She is awesome. And the only good part of the show.

Yeah, but Kaede's arc is effectively 3 episodes near the end of a 24 episode series. And I cannot stress how bad the first half of the series was. Her arc was a pleasant surprise, but it still doesn't make up for just how crappy the rest of the show is.
+ Show Spoiler [Merry 4] +My weekly serving of moe.
So we finally get some plot next ep? About time.

I thought that most of the eps had a couple funny parts that made it tolerable. But some of it was so dumb and didn't even make sense. Like Primula's arc.

+ Show Spoiler [Shuffle!] +I remember seeing torn curtains in your spoiler pic and wiki says she turns into yandere so is it like school days but less extreme? I don't think I can be bothered watching the entire thing.
Wtf an episode of Sora no Woto is 1.3 gigs by Coalgirls? -_-

To me, most of the humor in Shuffle seemed incredibly old or poorly executed. Unnecessary panty shots? Check. Really bad Manzai comedy? Check. Misunderstandings up the wazoo? Check. Actually, a lot of older harem shows have the same problem. For instance, in Negima, the vast majority of the gags are stupid panty shots and stupider misunderstandings. And it sucked (the manga did manage to pull it off a little more smoothly though).
Admittedly, the joke material in harem shows nowadays hasn't changed an awful lot, but somehow, it seems more... refined. I dunno. Maybe it's just me.

When I was a teenager I used to love anime but kind of fell out of it during university and haven't been able to enjoy it since then until I rewatched all the Hayao Miyazaki films and I still love them. What I would like to know is there any other directors or studios that make anime films that are as good as Miyazaki ones or is he one of a kind?

That dude is definitely one of a kind. Makoto Shinkai is another good Japanese filmmaker though.

School Days is pretty good, though it's a series but pretty short

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars are kinda similar movies though.
@Wala: Watch Shuffle ep 1 so you understand the situation, then watch 19-21.+ Show Spoiler + Keep in mind that Kaede's change in personality doesn't surface until ep 19. I think it's hinted at in ep 18 and in some flashbacks in earlier episodes, but for the most part, the flashbacks don't say much. Anyway, that's why her arc is awesome - the yandere literally comes out of nowhere.

Eh, what are some manga that you guys would recommend? I'm going to buy them when I go to Korea. I made a list somewhere and I forgot where it is.

I don't have much experience with manga, but you should definitely read 20th Century Boys. And Gunslinger Girl (especially if you liked the anime). TWGOK is pretty good for the most part as well.

Genshiken manga > Genshiken anime Hoshi no Samidare was pretty good. Kare Kano is decent for a shoujo. TSUKIHIME. Excellent, excellent adaptation of the Arc route. Bits of the Ciel and Akiha routes are thrown in too, but it's just for clarity's sake. Awesome fight scenes and gore. Mirai Nikki was good. End was a little weird. Everyone likes Yuno because she's yandere, but I prefer Minene~ Planetes is decent. TGWOK is quite good, but incomplete. Hayate is one of my favorite comedies. Also incomplete. Break Blade if you like mecha. Incomplete. Franken Fran is decent. Plenty of gore/horror. + Show Spoiler [Obligatory recommendation] +
+ Show Spoiler [Yumekui Merry manga spoilers] +Fight is awesome. Merry shatters dimensions. Yumeji confirmed for awesome. John Doe confirmed for awesome. Catgirls! Possibly not a bad guy? Huh? + Show Spoiler [omfg] +

I actually thought Shuffle! got good near the end. Last 10 or so episodes... maybe even later than that. The rest was pretty much nonsense bullshit, but it was still fun none the less.
ps - Why does everything always come back to School Days?!?
