I'm pleasantly surprised how the crowd accepted Reinhard so well. Maybe the alliance, tired of their own corrupt government, will be happier under Reinhard's command? I certainly hope so. He's the best emperor ever!

I'm really happy Reuental didn't fail horribly. It's not like he could have won, but at least he didn't lose a lot. I'm also relieved he didn't die in melee. I also really like Mittermeyer. Great commander. A kind man, too.

It's about time the Alliance get crushed!

I totally thought that Schenkopp was going to kill Reuental (seeing as how Schenkopp is such a beast), but Reuental surprised me. He and Mittermeyer are definitely some of the best characters on the Empire's side.

Strangely enough, I wouldn't have minded if Reuental got killed by Schenkopp because I like Schenkopp a lot. I would've been pissed if he had died any other way though, lol.

It's kinda funny seing how feared the Rosenritter are. It's like the entire enemy force collectively pisses their pants and runs away once word gets out.

Mittermeyer really reminds me of Kircheis. They're both incredibly idealistic people, and both are really nice people. One could even say that they're almost too nice for their own good.

I bet you guys have picked up on this as well since you are all close to half way through, but a general theme I noticed in the show is how the characters on each side differ thematically from each other (important characters in general on each side, I mean). The "good" Empire-side characters are all supposed to be mostly strong, confident, charismatic, badass characters (taking after Reinhard), while the "good" Alliance-side characters are all more happy-go-lucky, likable, jokey guys, who can deliver when push comes to shove (like Yang, Attenborough, Schenkopp, Poplan, etc).

But then, when you consider the Rosenritter are all people who were exiled or fled the Empire for one reason or another, you get this great blend of the Alliance's "foppery and whim", and the Empire's strong badassitude. Whenever the Rosenritter start doing stuff, you know its going to be great.

Sawako, you just keep making me angry. I can understand being in highschool and having unsure feelings, but if I have to deal with this all season of the... will they won't they. I think I'm going to go bat shit. The way I see the season playing out is one of them or both find a little relationship with someone else before seasons end or leading into a possible next season, but that would also anger me.

I think they're going to make the blonde haired guy play with Sawako, and I think maybe kazehaya would try to defend her or something, but will be hesistant because of something, etc etc
For me i can see what you mean, but im not really pissed, im actually looking forward to the next ep, and i wouldn't mind it getting a next season provided the plot is moving, and its not stupid filler episodes.

its about this girl who can't really communicate with people but she wants to (but she is misunderstood, people think she is scary), she helps out this guy who isn't scared of her, and she starts to develop feelings that she never felt before, and gradually she begins to change, by making new friends etc.

Well, I wouldn't say it really makes me angry. I really like the characters and the story. It's just her inability to ever express herself at the most opportune times and her bad timing of all things. Yeah, going to have to see what that blond haired guy's aim is. I mean, as soon as an episode finishes I wish I could just up and watch the next. I also wonder if they'll develop the Ryu Chizu relationship anymore this season.

I am reading the manga so I will tell you that much. Sawako wont have another dude. Chizu and Ryuu relation will get development but first are Kazehaya and Sawako if I remember correctly.

I don't know if I should be relieve or not to hear she doesn't get with another guy, but at the same time I think it would of made the story more interesting. I'm sure it would of just angered me at the same time though, haha. I really like Ryuu and Chizu I hope that ends up happening sometime in the near future. I can see Sawkao and Kazehaya not happening for a long time. Maybe even a season 3 if it can.
