Words can hardly describe how bad that last episode was. + Show Spoiler [Kabaneri] + I don't think it's possible to cram more cliches into a single episode than that piece of crap that was the Kabaneri finale. Just to name a few: - A random blue butterfly (aka a light in the dark) - The hero duo get's separated through whatever reason (debris in this case) "We must not fight against each other, blah blah you've heard it a million times before" - The entire cast assembles on the roof of the train to greet the heroes, even if they have other things to do (including sparkles, because why the fuck not) - They have to catch up to the escaping train via their own lorry... why? - The railroad collapses right behind the train, just because. - The bad guy has remorse and saves the MC (who, of course, doesn't die) There were sooo many more, I had to laugh a dozen times throughout that episode because pretty much every minute was just silly and stupid beyond belief. It was almost comical, as if it were a parody. Also Ikoma can punch a train into the air (which causes it to explode, mind you) but can't stand his ground against the villain who has no special powers aside from his sword also being a pistol. And that's just scratching the surface, really. If there was a meaning to the show, a message they wanted to convey, it would be this: "It's OK to be reckless, naive and stupid, because someone will show up to save your ass anyway. Your actions have no consequences that you'd have to face." But that's a fairly big "if"; it didn't seem like there was anyone who put much thought into the show. This was actually on a similar level as that NGNL chess episode in terms or raw bullshit. | ||
