The scene where the two clans slaughter each other and the human sits on the hill and watches. Before and after the battle the commander in chief "reports" in. That was so disgusting, yet so brilliantly written. Still one of my favourite scenes from SSY. /rant I glanced over my list only found a few titles that might fit. Hellsing Ultimate would be one. Another..............Elfen Lied. Akame ga Kill (haven't seen that one, just heared things)? I think Kemomozume might count in some way but that one was actually really good. I think that's about it from my side. | ||

Did you guys watch the latest Kabaneri episode? Can't wait for it to end... no idea why it's popular. At least Sakamoto delivers every week, it's fun and I'll miss it when it's over. | ||

That line had too many syllables. Let's execute him! lol | ||

At this point Kabaneri is even worse than Mayoiga. The latter at least had no positive expectations tied to it and it was somewhat funny to see the stupid characters interact with each other in the dumbest way possible. Kabaneri, on the other hand, is just depressing to watch. It had a somewhat decent setting (albeit unoriginal), a good budget, proper art and pretty much all the hype behind it. Seeing it getting butchered by people who don't seem to understand how to write good characters or dialogue on top of incredibly silly scenes while still demanding to be taken seriously, makes it really hard to watch. After that it becomes a clusterfuck and people die for no reason aside from trying to shock the audience and for the sake of being able to say "look how brutal we are, everyone dies". The battles make no sense and have no rules that they are following... which is pretty much the worst thing possible for a series that revolves around those battles. Most characters are cringe worthy and the ending flat out sucks. The show simply tried too hard to be edgy. | ||
