As espected, everything besides production values was pretty shitty. Animation was honestly surprisingly good.

Animation is probably THE reason I picked it up in the first place, so I wouldn't say that was surprising at all. Everything else about it was pretty mediocre? Not really bad but not particularly good either imo.

Haha, I was pretty sure it is nothing for Miragee. He doesn't like that type of anime. Like you said it was pretty much mediocre but I'm interested to see how it evolves.
Watched Utawarerumono ep1 and it was decent. Best episode of the new season for me so far. It was kind of slow but a nice set up. Although I tought the constant rehashing of "jokes" (already...) and unnecessary sexual teasing was pretty annoying. But I'm kind of looking forward in which direction this might go. Could become a somewhat decent/cute fantasy adventure.
This also has a cute cat girl with long black hair, if that sounds "interesting" for a certain someone.

I feel like an open book but you are damn right... I was scanning this to watch out for the next great Kuusen to watch with a friend but it's sadly not even close to Kuusen's level of greatness.

I'm actually pretty confused about what it is. Apparently it's not a sequel but an alternative setting. Yet they seem to assume that you have watched the other one? I don't know. I looked up the characters for both series and they have different names but do look kind of similar and are at least of the same race.
I haven't watched it but a quick google search revealed that the utawarerumono airing right now is based on the sequel to the original game that the first anime was based upon. I don't know how they're related or if they are though.

Hm ok. I will keep watching and observing for now. If I decide to keep it _and_ get the feeling that it would be better to watch the previous adaption as well then I will binge it.
i watched One Outs recently. by far the worst baseball anime ive seen...(out of 5). It just wasn't that good. the characters were so fucking stupid, all the time...over and over and over again...the "action" was bland and the baseball was very weak. It's basically Toua being Toua over and over agian...which got stale really fast for me. all in all i gave it 6/10....checked on MAL and it's like 8.5 lol ...mal... lol
I watched the first episode, and at first, I thought it would be interesting. Then the narration turned me off. Then random fanservices killed it. I was hoping for a dark/desperate war anime -_-

Heavy object is just mechas fighting each other. It's plot is NOT gundam. Your expectations are just off. If you want dark / desperate mecha anime, watch fafner airing right now. It's war.... against non-humanoid things i guess?
Heavy Object is actually decently dark because Kazuma does random shit. But it's not like gundam. I would say it's more like... Pumpkin Scissor with a splash of Index.

I haven't finished Fafner 1 though (first season)... Season 2 stand alone? :O
It isn't. You'd need to watch the first season, then the movie, then part1 of the second season, before the current one (which is part 2 of the second season).
