Yeah DTB is great, season one was perfect and the opening song is awesome.
I should warn you though, season two ends very abrubtly, right when the interesting stuff starts to happen (this isn't really spoiler). I hope they'll make a season 3 because we didn't get an actual ending imo.
I pretended the story for DtB ended after season 1. Season 2 was a giant letdown.
how can you dislike LIVING THE DREAM
@Insanious: Some good fantasy: Orphen, Rune Soldier, Record of Lodoss War, Vampire Hunter D, Slayers for older stuff, Legend of Legendary Hero, uwatermeromemo (sp? good luck googling my spelling) for newer.
Kaze no stigma (mediocre plot, awesome protag) Rahxephon (similar to Eva) Outlaw Star (space) Cowboy Bebop (space - same director/creator of Samurai Champloo) People have liked Heroic Age (space, mech) but I thought the pacing was slow and dropped it around 8 eps in.
Also anyone who hasn't seen School Days should.
Haha, I guess DtB S2 wasn't that bad, it just didn't match the hype of S1.
And Kaze no Stigma has a awesome protag? As in that tsundere girl......?
But I would also second the recommendation for Kaze no Stigma, but ONLY if you are extremely bored and have not seen any of his other recommendations below, which are far better than KnS by leaps and bounds.

It was a good episode but I didn't like the part where the sister just beat him up, and he didn't do jack =/ Can someone explain to me about the life counseling? I thought it was only 12 episodes. Are they having a new season?
yeah I mean he should have beaten the crap out of his sister shouldnt he?
Nah, I just got annoyed with him doing nothing. If he is bigger, he shouldn't just get beaten up like that without dodging and all that. She slaps him whenever she likes. And I would never suggest him beating her up
You know I didn't think the ending was epic but however I liked the ending. I can see it being one of the better animes of 2010. The ending was satisfying and It didn't feel rushed. Verdict: it was pretty good

I think he was referring to Kazuma, who really was an entertaining protagonist. So funny watching him troll Ayano. The plot was lacking, but it didn't help that the mangaka died in the middle of the story. I think it was going in an interesting direction... but just ended too soon.
does someone know where the Light Novels of Haruhi are going? I dont mind getting spoilers, but after the second season didnt really move the plott forward I am kind of interested.

I feel I need to rewatch everything just to remember some of the specific events relevant to Disappearance.
I'd say next to the original story the most important parts are Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody (of course), Endless Eight, Mystérique Sign, Remote Island Syndrome and Someday in the Rain. At least these were the more important Yuki episodes, in my opinion.
But you can watch the whole series 5 times and still pick up new small details each time, so I guess it isn't wrong to rewatch everything. :D
In other news, I just finished watching Minami-ke after taking a short break from Eureka Seven at episode 40. So funny, I could watch them all day long. The scenes with Mako-chan (and Touma later) were really great. I heard that the following seasons are not that good compared to the original, is it true?

Really? In Minami I didn't really enjoy the 2nd season as much as the first.. but perhaps it was bad sub groups in the third season.. but the humour was just so off/not there that it wasn't even remotely as good as S1.

Endless Eight is important?
Oh god......
I think all that would be important about the Endless Eight is Yuki having memory of every single iteration of that.
Endless Eight is only important in making us feel exactly how Nagato would've, except she has it infinitely worse. It does help to explain Disappearance though.

True, and I guess it's not that hard to sympathize.....we've been going through 12 years of the same education process here in America. I can sort of imagine what it'd be like to do it another.....14988 times....

Totally agree with you the ending was WIN! Couldn't be more satisfied with the ending for this plot.
