What other comedy-based school-setting animes are there?
Started Baccano!, like it so far after four episodes. Is durarara comparable as well?
Have to finish Haruhi although I think people overhyped it for me.

Other good school based comedy would be Full Metal Panic FUMOFFU

Azumanga Daoih, or School Rumble are probably the more well known ones. Some would say Lucky Star but I didn't find it too great. Started Baccano!, like it so far after four episodes. It's hands down my favorite show from the past two seasons. But yeah, I kinda doubt we'll see a second season. And the plot's just starting to pick up too... Yah... apparently DVD sales were horrible, but the light novel got tons of more sales lol. I'm reading the light novels as well now; first volume is translated and it's the main story, since LOLheroes is the prequel.

SEIZON. <3 It's been nearly half a year/a year since Seitokai no Ichizon was broadcasted, so I doubt a second season will be broadcasted (though I'm keeping my fingers crossed). Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu and Seto no Hanayome jump immediately into mind for suggestions; both are really great comedies and definitely recommended. Haven't watched Durarara! but given how many viewers have had a positive reaction towards it, it's definitely worth sticking with, especially considering how well-done Baccano! was. The first season of Haruhi is pretty much where all the quality stuff happens. The only episode from the second season you really have to watch is the first one, "Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody" as it is essential to the plot of Haruhi. Everything else in the second season is basically filler and can be ignored for the most part (Endless Eight was a short story needlessly dragged on and Sighs was basically the documentation of how the Mikuru movie was made).

Also seconding Seto no Hanayome. Maria Holic is another really funny show. Lastly I forgot to mention Cromartie High School, much different vein of comedy, but probably my favourite.

Sorta glad that they put it last, but its unfortunate that its only 4 episodes long. Well I think this will be sufficient until Yogusa no Sora 12. :D I'm rather disappointed with this episode, the resolution felt rushed somehow. I still don't know why she acted like she did and what the notebook contained. I'm feeling like I missed an episode in the middle of the arc, where everything is explained. :/ Edit: Probably still the best arc, story ending (and ending song), but not necessarily the best girl. About the ending: + Show Spoiler + The 10 years later scene was a very good ending though. It's funny that her daughter had the same haircut. :D UTW's new holiday banner is great by the way, I love the expressions. + Show Spoiler [Tsukasa Arc spoilers] + Uhh in the manga they explain that the notebook contained blackmail material, as she was suppose to blackmail the girls into doing things. If it followed her best route in the game, she's suppose to get kicked off being the leader of the Christmas thing and other things are suppose to happen which I wont get into too much. How can she not be the best girl... she knows how to take a man down with epic combos lol... I swear if I could I would make a 5 (or however many it was) hit combo gif of what she did to Junichi =P That would explain quite a bit. I liked this ending.

Definitely amongst some of the better male leads. Ehhh... Sugisaki is one of the most idealized characters I've seen. It wasn't until the whole thing with Asuka and Ringo started again that we actually see Sugisaki in a somewhat less than perfect setting. He is made to be tolerable by being in part a foil for the average eroge protagonist, but at the same time that makes him really boring to read outside of bantering until the author decided it was time to focus on his past traumas. He didn't get the Reise until that last path split with the Earth and Moon Cradle in the games, after Axel tore him a new asshole, when the Shadow Mirrors first showed up to help the Inspectors. Same with Twin Bird Strike, that shouldn't be for a while, but who knows. I think next episode will mostly be Lamia excaping, plus the Aggressors attacking the Shadow Mirrors. The big question mark for me though, is when are they going to get to the SRX, the Einst, and the Choukujin? All of those were set in place by the time Planetagenet or w/e started. Maybe we will get all that stuff mashed up into one pretty soon.
