Index was okay, although she was only really useful for anything in her combat mode during the beginning. Every magician except for the sword girl was annoying. Accelerator might be level 5 but has intelligence as his dump stat apparently, so stupid and unlikeable.
The sisters were nice. Railgun-chick is awesome, her friend is nice too. The best arc was the "look, a fanservice beach episode"-gotcha arc.
I felt like creating a what I watched, what I expected, what I got for it: + Show Spoiler +
Disclaimer: While I enjoyed Bleach for quite some time, Ichigo might be one of the stupidest and most annoying main characters I've ever seen in any media.
Not really impressive, especially since there is no real difference between the science side and the magic side. I expected a greater conflict, not just "we have superpowers" vs. "we have superpowers too, but they are different, somehow".
Overall it was not that good but it saves some rating points with the acceptable production quality and a few likeable characters. It's nice that they made a series with the far better characters (Railgun and her friends), so I'll watch that next.
Is Index 2 more of the same, or do they kill the main character off or something? (You might think that at least one enemy in the series understands the concept of "take gun, shoot dude who is immune to magic".)
There's a character in Season III and Season IV that does take a gun and shoot someone/ throw grenades/ use old landmines/fly a plane/ use a tank... would be in 2012/2013+

Too bad. Is he as annoying in S2 as he was in S1? If you enjoy the series, please don't think that I want to bash it, I just don't like these typical fighting series lead characters (probably because I overdosed on them through Bleach over time).
If it's still basically the same thing and the plot doesn't change, I think I should skip season 2.
I swear to god, Touma spent five minutes talking while Tsuchimikado was on the ground incapacitated by that spell.
Edit 3: Oh yeah, and then when he finally hits Oriana, he fails to use that opportunity to 1) Incapacitate her 2) Touch the fucking paper that is maintaining the spell affecting Tsuchimikado.
Argh.
I keep watching for biribiri, accelerator and because the story should get somewhat decent after several more arcs. Touma can go die in a ditch for all I care. But yeah, it's definitely not the best of shows.

Well the series isn't different from Season 1, its just the progression of the plot. It is more or less the same style as season 1. Touma is pretty much the same, but on the plus side, you get alot more Misaka (Railgun chick), and probably more Accelerator. Honestly, Misaka is probably the largest reason why people watch Index.
You might want to check out Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, which is a side story to Index, except Misaka and her friends are the main characters. Touma only shows up in brief camoe appearances like 2 or 3 times in the whole thing, so maybe you could check it out. Although Railgun had its own problems as well (the second half was pretty much all filler, since they ran out of material for it lol).
Yeah, I just started watching Railgun, and so far it's a lot better than Index (only 5 episodes in though). I don't mind Touma's appearances so far. It's okay when he is just a nice guy with a inconvenient power and not in the typical shounen fight guy mode.
Can't wait to see the girls do more Judgment work, so funny.
To my understanding, Sion has a double personality. He doesn't want to kill Ryner, but the thing in him does. And that thing is the Mad Hero the Garstark king talks about if I'm interpreting this correctly. So that makes Ryner the Lonely Demon.
Shion was resolved to kill Ryner in the previous episode. At this point, I'm just gonna go with the whole Shion is already the fallen hero, unless Ecael can illuminate on this point. While the "go back to where it all began" thing on the balcony is a bit overused, I feel that it's the apt location for Shion's betrayal.
It appears that Katanagatari has finished. I guess it's as good a time as any to watch that.
I liked both the light novels and the anime, the former wasn't great but it was a fun read, and the latter has quite a bit of fun stuff to it. I can almost certainly guarantee everyone will like the ending.

it's supposed to be canon as the person who wrote the books helped write it too most of it happens before index S1

I actually liked the first episode, and since I do enjoy a good trolling from time to time, but it seems alot of people don't agree with me about that lol
I get a feeling that we are going to get a ton of events all merged into one in the up coming episodes. Its pretty obvious we will get Zweizergain in the next episode, and with Operation Harpe happening, that puts us on the Eve of Plantagenet. In the games at least, there were still several big events that haven't happened yet in the anime, that happens before this. Seems they are going to be merging the Wildwurger's stuff with Zweizergain, and maybe Lamia's betrayal/counter betrayal next episode. And they are setting up for Mai's intro, which means HBT Cannon. Zengar is apparently supposed to make his first apperance in the Type-3 in the next few episodes, and then there is still the question of the Einst, the Choukujin, and the Shirogane getting captured.
TL;DR, I expect alot of awesome of the next couple of episodes.

But Ga Rei Zero is a very good anime overall.
Oh, don't get me wrong, it was a pretty good first episode. It's just that the ending was a little... unorthodox. But something like this isn't so bad once in a while.
Edit: OreImo 11 is out. I got in on the IRC bot early, so ETA 14 minutes. Did the episode get leaked or something? I was seeing screenshots of Mazui's subs way earlier today.
