Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica is great, whatever you do don't stop watching after only having watched two episodes, it's at the third that it becomes good.

I really really want to know how its managed to end so quickly since theres alot that seems like it couldve been explored. I read it a while ago so the anime is a good refresh. Aside from some dialogue alteration here and there its been pretty faithful so far. The altered dialogue does change the implications at times but nothing that cant be called pointless nitpicking.

Ok so my surprisefeel of madoka recommendation wasn't so wrong. It's only anime I haven't seen with deathnote that I get from clicking recommendations of recommendations and so on.

after hearing all the good things about steins gate I decided to finish where I left off before, at like episode 3?

+ Show Spoiler + the first few episodes very very slow, and seemed pointless so it put me off, as well as the episodes that focused on the side characters like that annoying cat girl fayris or w/e. Other than that it really moved me, and I was not at all expecting it to be that good. Now its over

"Desperation and sadness" is way too vague, and you could say the same thing about tons of shows.
