This chapter is so good; Usopp is going to have to somehow defeat Sugar and Robin somehow deal with Trebol.
Their fight is suddenly the most important, a lot is riding on it. Including the fact that Rebecca's memories of Kyros, which will greatly affect her fighting abilities.
I knew something was fishy about Soldier being able to resist orders.
I'm really looking forward to what Usopp is going to do. His fights are always good. We may also see Robin go all out in 1v1 for the first time, something I'm looking forward to.

So the theory about Sugar messing up with the contract during Soldier-san's transformation was confirmed, as well as the (actually reasonable) theory that Soldier-san was Kyros that everyone just had forgotten about (seeing how it was obvious he had been turned into a toy, as no one actually remembered him). That'll restore the lost hope Rebecca expressed during the chapter, I'm sure, and give her a crucial morale boost. Not to mention that he's 99.9% the father of Rebecca and got married to her princess mother some time between 20 years ago when he was in his last gladiatorial match and 10 years when he got turned into a toy during Dofla's coup.
It's understandable then why the dwarves put so much faith in him. He's a legend.
Only gripe I had when reading the chapter was Usopp's reaction to the dwarf talking about Soldier-san. "He's just a one-legged toy soldier!" He should know better. They've already told him that every toy was someone. Wouldn't be so unreasonable for him to realise that that someone was someone powerful.

The Dwarves were hilarious as always, but what is even more hilarious is all the ridiculous amount of hate thowards Rebecca that is currently reaching a new peak on various Manga/One Piece community sites.

So? Leo was talking about it on a basis of operation sop needing to be a success, i.e. what would happen after the toy soldier had been turned into a human.

Not even Oda is heartless (not to mention that he's not really heartless at all) enough to kill off her only still living parent just after she's found out the toy soldier taking care of her all her life is her real father.
Beaten and defeated? Sure. I could see that. That'll make the entrance of Luffy or someone. Killed? No.

Violet won't join because her df ability is really ridiculous, from a story-telling perspective. The Straw Hats would know everything, all the time; so how would we the reader be told? If all characters know everything they have nothing really to drive them nor any conflict, it would just be going through the motions.

So Kyros won 3000 matches and was only wounded a single time, which cost him his leg. Doffy probably chopped it off in good ol Oars Jr Fashion.
