As far as Blackbeard's crew goes, even though we basically have no idea how powerful any of them are relative to almost anyone, I always just imagined Shiliew to be Blackbeard's #2, simply because he seems like the one who will eventually get matched up with Zoro. You can understand with simply logic that he isnt the second most strongest. Burgess outmatched by Ace two years ago but same thing wouldnt've happened if one of the prisoners faced with Ace. All of prisoners were so fucking dangerous that their crimes erased from history. Thats flawed logic. Just because all the prisoners at level 6 were stronger than Burgress 2 years ago doesn't mean he couldn't have surpassed them. So you mean that Burgess got stronger but prisoners stayed on same level? what the? Burgess is indeed weaker than prisoners.
Just because he was, doesn't mean he is. You can say its likely that Burgess is still weaker than the prisoners, but nothing is set in stone to say that has to be the way it is. Its perfectly within the realm of possibility/believability that some characters had a sharper rate of improvement within the past 2 years than others.

Yeah i think he has Haki at least the arnament haki but i don't think he is that adept at using it just like Smokers lieutenant.

I agree with that. I feel like he relied too much on his DF abilities and Blackbeard pretty much proved that.

I feel like having to use observation Haki 24/7 would be sort of a hassle and a strain. I was just adding to the theory, I suppose never lol.

I don't think that Fujitora's sword is sentient if it ate the DF. It would be a Paramecia or Logia in that case, because of the powers Fujitora uses. BUT all sentient objects ate Zoan fruits, giving them the sentient prowess of animals.

The OP world is incredibly fluid, with many characters having their own plans and struggles, all at the same time. In my opinion the advantage of Blackbeard is not sheer power, but that he has a plan and the ambition to never stop.
He planned to get the Gura Gura Fuit of Whitebeard, and somehow he found a way to actually get it from WB's dying body.
Burgess being beaten means only that he now has to train harder if he manages to escape. And that BB will feel that Luffy is catching up, spuring BB on.

- Really glad Sabo didn't like K.O Burgess there. Armour was destroyed, but that doesn't mean a lot to my mind. They looked equal in power.
- Something is going to go wrong with the Sugar knock out plan.
- Expecting Luffy or Zoro to have broken one of the walls and escaped. Though "escaped" against that sort of a fruit isn't so easy. Have a feeling they might even get ejected from the castle and have to try again somehow.
- And though it wasn't amazingly revolutionary, it was good to see the process they use to turn things into toys.
