Phew! I don't know about you guys but I want the next chapter to focus on the spiral hats. While there isn't really all that much going on with the other characters, there's actually an awesome naval battle going on right now between "I am a ship" and Thousand Sunny. I predict that Sanji will get saved by some freak windstorm or other unpredictable occurance because Ussop, Nami, and Brooke all have incredible luck. | ||

As far as I understood the interaction between whitebeard and blackbeard was that if he had the chance to activate his fruit (the part where his hands turned black and absorbed his first few quakes) then most DFs that relied on attacks that didnt enhance your physical powers would be negated. The biggest downside I guess for luffy fighting him would be that he wouldnt be able to deal with being flung into things (such as the ground in impel down) as well as he would due to his rubber being negated. I guess this is all based on what we do know of blackbeard's power which I guess isn't a lot but as it stands with what we do know about BB's abilities, it just seems like if luffy was physically somewhat equal to blackbeard he'd do alright. | ||

While they might not have been fighting at full power Crocodile was able to go toe to toe with both Donflamingo and Mihawk. Post time skip Crocodile has successfully eluded the Marines in the New World too. | ||

He was beaten because he is like Luffy: on a quest to become king of the Sea Kings so ofc he was prone to a comical ko that leads to the rivalry. They will fight for supremacy of the sea at the end, with Luffy winning because Sirahoshi comes in and uses her power. | ||
