There's like 5 people who are still big question marks in OP as far as appearance, and Kaido is one of them. Bit sad no-one is guessing another unknown face... And people think this is the Kaidou arc and so he must appear now. You know, to make a terrible appearance that doesn't make him out to look anything like he's already been built up to. As if Kaido of the thousand beasts who uses Doflamingo is gonna hide himself in a gladiator tournament for Ace's fruit because he's worried about the smile factory. A lot of people would notice Kaido instantly, in disguise or not. Most strong people saw through Luffy = Lucy. Kaido is about infinite times more famous than him. | ||

So who is Meadows? As someone suggested, I could definitely see Mea D Ou actually being Kai D Ou and he's the one who took out the entire arena. So why is he there? For fun. Why did he attack Whitebeard when he was on his way to rescue Ace? Probably because it would be his last chance to do so. Instead, his fighting desires were satiated by Shanks. Kaido is probably a free spirit who wants a real fighting challenge, much like Zoro (who wanted to enter the arena even though he doesn't care about the fruit). And really, if Kaido wants to go pick some fights in an arena, then who exactly is going to stop him from doing so? However, I bet the one getting up at the end is Rebecca. Kaido was probably testing everyone to see who was worth fighting and is now hidden by the dust. When Rebecca stands up, he'll probably try to massacre her. Maybe Cavendish does something redeeming to save her... push her off the stage and take the hit himself (nearly killing him). I've said Blackbeard is like the flip side of the coin with Luffy. They share the same dream, but Blackbeard is the sociopathic version while Luffy is the compassionate version... which shows the reader that just having a good dream doesn’t make you good. I'm thinking that Kaido will share the free-spirit nature of Luffy, but he'll be a completely psychotic free-spirit who kills for fun while Luffy avoids killing. This once again shows the reader that just being a free-spirit doesn't make you the good guy. And there you have it. Why Kaido is there, and what will happen when we get back to the arena. However, I do think Oda will send Kaido away in some way after introducing him and letting him show how badass he is in the next round. I don't believe he'll play too much more of a role in this arc, with the possible exception of delivering a finishing blow on some important character (Doflamingo, Fujitora, Kinemon, Sabo, etc.) Fun Side Note: It seems that Orlumbus is named after Christopher Columbus. Yontamaria is Santa Maria, Columbus's ship. He seems like a pretty minor character though. The big problem here is that Mr Soldier was fighting in the arena in toy form, too, and it is absolutely possible that his lightning technique is still famous, considering how long he has been a toy and presumably fighting in the arena. | ||

Anyway, anime spoiler: + Show Spoiler + Some fillers can be good but sometimes they're a bit silly. Power levels are ALWAYS fucked up so hard. Some no name nubass called Breed has the dumbest possible fruit, it would have taken ONE pistolet from Luffy (or anything from Law, wtf) to put this guy out of action and seriously, they both get caught like nubs. these are the idiots who are going to fight dofla-fucking-mingo? still, kung fu dugong bro is insane so there's that. but i wish fillers would take more advantage of crew member's known weaknesses or something, because to get two supernovas caught in a position such as this one.. this early? it's silly.. it's fucking luffy and a fucking shichibukai LAW right here, what kind of no name pirate wouldn't shit his pants? tsh | ||

Only way I'll watch OP anime is if they do a One Piece Kai. Also, delayed happy birthday to Oda! | ||
