My proof is that "magma is hotter than fire", or in other words magma and fire fruit coexist.

Agree, altough id probably say the fact that there is also a snow fruit is a better example in the case of kuzan...

Since ice is a solid, and Aokoji's fruit has only that aspect of water, the Mizu Mizu fruit (assuming it exists) would very likely be the liquid form of water. Otherwise there would be overlap, as water has three states (liquid, solid and gas). As far as I can remember no Logia has shown the ability to produce more than one state of the matter their fruit is of. And snow is different from ice, as it's a granual material (though of course still a solid).

You might want to double check with Forikorder about whether or not gas is a state of matter.

I like Forikorder but sometimes just a quick a google search could save him a lot of hassle. first search hit (wikipedia) states: Gas is one of the four fundamental states of matter (the others being solid, liquid, and plasma)

Not sure if it counts but Ceasar was able to temper with the gas from his fruit through scientific experiments and make it more deadly. But yeah, it was still gas, not a different state of matter. But then again you can argue that smoke is a basic form of gas that is also venomous if inhaled in large enough quantities, so having both of these fruits make little sense. Same matter, different colours.
If Logias could change the state of their element, i dont think certain logias, like crocodiles; would be so vulnerable to any form of liquid. If they could alter their base element, Crocodile could theoreticly just take a bath and temporarly gain powers very similiar to the swamp fruit.
EDIT: Havent we seen Kuzan sort of "melting" and then refreezing as he reforms after being cracked? Sort of like Mercury/the T-1000 from terminator 2.
Enel could also be considered somewhat of a greyzone case, as he could adjust the voltage level of his lightning/form. Electricity does behave differently depending on its voltage charge, and there is tecnically more than one state or form of electricity (static and current) and static discharges can take on various forms of matter.

Yeah, let's not enter the electromagnetism area. Will be a little difficult to attempt to apply it to the logia fruit. It's not as simple as when it comes to matter, which only has a few states to choose from.

Still cant top Kizaru and BB in terms of wierd meta-physical concepts. Not counting all the freaky Paramecias, or the "Human Human: Buddha Statue" Fruit.
I know the latter was based on a misunderstanding on Oda's part. But Still, Its like the holy triforce of contradiction. Not only is it a human fruit model wich turns you into a non-human statue made of gold, its also supposed to be a MYTHICAL CREATURE fruit but a daibatsu (a golden buddha statue) is neither a creature nor very mythical, they exist all over the world in many shapes and sizes. Its comparable to a church altar.
i guess its somewhat of a testament to how secular japan is when even one of their biggest authors of literal fiction has very little knowledge about their national main religion and its icons.

Well this then begs the question.. what would happen if someone ate the umi no mizu mizu no mi and became sea water? Hard counter to every DF alive? Or could we just see the world's strongest alliance when the mizu mizu no mi carrier teams up with the salty salty no mi

I think they'd still lose to Enel because lightning > water
|
I'm fairly certain there exists no seawater fruit. Would be a bit.. awkward.
|
that's the point though hehe
but you could just go with the deadly combo of mizu mizu and salty salty. or mineral mineral if you want to be picky since I guess sea water holds alot more shit than just salt and salt is a mineral

And if someone really became a sea water Logia i they would have a tough time dealing with Kuzan. And they would make an excellent leader for Enels Lightning to vaporize.

DF users are not weak to salt water or even sea water, per se. It's "the power of the sea" that weakens them and is how seastone operates on. Interpret it how you wish but it's pretty easy to write around any seemingly holes in logic when the weakness is 100% fictional to begin with.

yeah I suppose that's correct.. how about a kairouseki fruit then, shit would be sick

Or some kind of Mythical Zoan: Sea Deity who grants the user the ability to control the tides and create tsunamis and such. Altough the Gura Gura no mi did also posses that ability as a side effect of causing quakes underwater, but it was volatile and hard to control. I always wondered how WB planned to save Ace from drowning, Had Kuzan not stopped his Tsunamis in the begining of the Marineford War. The guy would have been stuck underwater chained to Seastone wich noone seems to be able to be able to break, especially not devil fruit users...

Clearly it was just a show of strength!

I know, but just saying, what if Kuzan was having like a really bad day, maybe he tried to break Garps donut record and had to call in sick because of a really bad stomach ache; or maybe he was just a secret asshole who wanted to take the chance to watch Akainu die helplessly while riding away on his bike on a very narrow trail of ice above the water.
Imagine the look on Marcos face! like "Pops, you killed your nakama AND son! what kind of father does that, screw this were going with Teach.".
Plus, if The Tsunami was like the ultimate entrance showoff from the captain of the WB pirates and the "Strongest man in the world", but someone second in command to the fleet admiral could thwart it in like a few seconds? so like he risked Ace's life for the glorious opportunity to be humiliated by Kuzan. And i bet all that Ice made fighting in Marineford really cold too. You are an old man Newgate, think about your heart rate! you shouldnt be out fighting in really cold weather, you gotta think about that old heart of yours! If it stops i think you can actually die, and then who would adopt and protect all of those fine young sons of yours? Whos gonna pay for their collage fees and Jozus rehab? They do call him Diamond Jozu for a reason, its because he is always super stoned. Oda told me that once when he was high too.
If my own father died there would be noone to pay for my summer vacations in San Tropez and all of those fast cars i like to buy. I wouldnt inherit anything because he told me i already spent that money on gadgets when i tried to become Batman back in college, and i did hire my maid to dig a batcave under my garage. I think she is actually still working on that because we signed an 8 year contract with vacations and health insurance covered. But i was just trying to become a symbol of hope... and i do like to beat up on the poor, unemployed people for committing petty street crimes. I even took 4 months of karate training. But i Still got the suit for Halloween though.
+ Show Spoiler +HOLIDAY HIATUS SUCKS all this waiting is messing with my brain

The tidal wave would have washed away eventually... ...but I agree on the show of strength thing. He knew it would be blocked.
