Yeah that's my point. Their low bounty compared to their strength has an explanation, Rockstar's does not. Aso it's 92M apparently which is still respectable.

We're overthinking this.

Also I'm the one who said Croc lost because of loss of will. :p

I agree that power/strength isn't proportional to bounties, that was my point lol. Someone was implying Rockstar was just a scrub, because he had a "small" bounty of 94M. While he may or may not be weak, his bounty is only small compared to world threatening powers.

Well the fact he is in the New World a member of Shanks crew and can deliver a message to Whitebeard means he ain't exactly a pushover though I wouldn't argue he was strong either. Bounties =/= strength but that certainly doesn't mean they are completely irrelevant. But eh.... SABOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Thats because the East Blue is the weakest of the oceans. 3 mil they said was the average for E blue and I think everywhere else it was higher.

Bounties are pretty much meaningless on the grand line and new world. 94 mil for a ROOKIE member of the crew is pretty damn good though and he likely didn't have it for BS reasons like the 79 mil one on Robin so its pretty damn solid.

Remember how the "supernovas" were those with over 100 mil? Most of them were barely over. Hell Zoro's is only at 120 mil currently and the dudes a beast.

Yeah, East Blue had the lowest bounties. However, people's reaction to Luffy's bounty wasn't "Wow, thats pretty big for East Blue", their reactions were "Wow, that's a pretty big bounty!". Thats a fairly important distinction, imo. Even in the early parts of the Grand Line, his bounty was consider to be big, and most people were like "this goofy kid as a bounty that big?" Sometimes its just useful to take a look back at the story, and just reaffirm and appreciate how big and significant 80M+ bounties really are.

That's the thing with Oda. He doesn't just throw in old characters for the hell of it. There's always a reason and plan behind the craziness, which is why OP is so good.

I find it interesting that (based on theory of Sabo = revolutionary = likely trained with Dragon) Gol D. Roger's kid got raised/mildly looked after/checked up on by Garp. Luffy and Ace kind of adopted each other as brothers. Sabo also got adopted in and it seems possible that Dragon may've played a large role in raising Sabo (after rescuing him) instead of being involved with Luffy more - especially as he was certain to know how close Sabo and Luffy were. Which just further cements the brotherhood of the three. Sabo may've been told/strongly recommended by Dragon to not contact Luffy until now.

Dragon's more of a father to Sabo than to Luffy, who's practically never been around (Luffy was with his mom before Garp left him at mountain gang right? I can't be bothered to check the wik). Which works out fine, as Sabo's father disowned him anyway (or however it went, I can't remember the Sabo parts of the flashback that well).

Luffy's mom is a mystery hence some fans can make wild speculation like Crocodile is his mom who was was previously a woman which was his secret he was ashamed of when Ivankov threatened him. The woman you're thinking of was just a regular villager named Makino. Sabo was never disowned he just ran away, his father even had people capture him and bring him back to the house.

This would be silly and pointless! What would the story get from Crocodile being Luffy's mother..

He could be a girl, i get that and that will pop up soon or later, because ODA never leaves anything to chance. If it is written in the manga, it will happen! But Crocodile is Luffy's mother? no way jose

It's something about Ivankov knowing something really private in the past of Crocodile, something he's ashamed of.
Someone explained it a lot of pages ago but it's clearly not that bad of a theory.

Crocodile being Luffy's mother tho, is crazy.

It's too preposterous so I don't buy it. The second reason I don't buy is that people have theories about it's automatically wrong because Oda never does things the way we think he will.
