Maybe it will be the end of DD the underworld Joker and King of dressrosa, maybe even loose his shishibukai (or something) title, but not his death or his end in this history!
This will be one of the best arcs ever imo!
Nobody has ever died in One Piece except for Ace&Whitebeard + all the flashback deaths. The closest one people assumed to be dead was infact Bellamy after DD ordered Kirkes to slash him up but as we know now he's alive & kickin (well not really after he got owned by king's punch^^)
So your theory of neither Law nor DD dying seems obvious

from a gomu gomu Axe of East Blue Luffy? Sorry I've seen people getting half their bodies burned away and then restored during the moria arc or Zoro stepping in a giant ball of pain after he was already on the verge of death. I don't see how Arlong died from that Unless something happened on the coverstories afterwards that I'm forgetting atm.

how is arlong dead? source?

Same with monet and vergo, theres no source that they died. Sure, horrible things happened to them but pell had a bomb that could wipe out a town in his hands when it blew up. He was walking in a chapter or two.

inb4 gold roger also still alive hiding for everyone living a peaceful life as a potatoe farmer

Yeah I forgot about Pell, whos the biggest example of how Oda doesn't really kill his characters, he had a fricking bomb big enough to destroy everything in a 5km radius exploded at point blank and was fine a few days later lol.
No way Arlong is dead imo. Concerning Monet and Vergo, personally I think they are alive and will show up again, especially Vergo, ok Monet had Caesar had stab her fucking heart but who knows xD. I wouldn't really argue with people who think those 2 are definitely dead though because I could understand of ODA-sensei decided to start killing off people post timeskip to set a darker tone for the series but that's all speculation.

"I wont die, Pal"
The next main character to die is Shanks, its a pretty obvious prediction.

Shanks has been a dead man walking ever since his convo with Whitebeard about ace.

I think the "I won't die, pal" is more of a reference to the will of D.

God damn it, if Pell had died the series would be so much better. That one memory of Pell staying alive despite getting blown up keeps haunting me.

what if the bomb was really jsut a flashbang and Croc was jsut trying to pull the country together?

Didn't the ones getting poisoned by Magellan die at least off screen? Seems most apparent deaths happen off screen.
