Yes, because he split around the attack. Buggy obviously is not anywhere near Akainu's level, and can't do fancy tricks of the sort, which makes this irrelevant. Are you sure you are not the one strawmanning, claiming that we are saying that Haki auto-defeats logias?
Either way, this debate is going nowhere, and I suggest we all drop it until Oda writes something clearly proving the argument either way.
