AMIRITE YASOPP? I can't wait until Ussop meets his dad. It's something that hasn't been hinted on in the series at all. He'd probably give him a smack and tell him his mother's last words or something. I'd imagine that he'd hold a lot of resentment for him but it could swing either way.

I want him to at least fight his dad at first if nothing else. He lied to his mom until she died, there has to be something there to fight over for a little bit. After that everyone cries and gets over it but there needs to be alot of emotion at first. I'm looking more forward to that meetup than luffy and shanks.

How did he lie didn't he say he went out to be a pirate?

He lied to his mom saying his dad was back until she died, thats why he kept saying pirates were attacking. Trying to make her feel better ect...

Yea but in those early chapters he seemed to show pride that his dad was a pirate doing important things and having adventures. I always found it a bit odd since he straight up seemed cool with being basically abandoned and his mom dying alone with him desperately trying to cheer her up with lies about his dads return.

His mom was apparently fine with it.

So I am trying to figure out why Law didn't say Luffy was his subordinate. That would have greatly helped him. I reread the Punk Hazard arc and from that I can extrapolate: 1) Law doesn't do things willy nilly 2) He has plans and has plans if those plans fail 3) He was caught off guard by DD still being in the Shichibukai
Knowing that he must have a reason why he would revoke his Shichibukai status (immunity) and go against the Marines (aka an Admiral, Fujitora).
His trump card is/was having Ceasar's heart in his fight with DD. His whole plan of taking on Kaido relied on eliminating his access to "Smile". In Law's words Kaido would "Wipe out DD" thus showing appearing on the scene where SH/Law could take him on.
Some thoughts/predictions 1) He doesn't actually have Ceasar's heart, some other SH has it 2) His crew is close and will aid him 3) He believes that the SH will help him and/or do their objectives 4) He underestimated DD 5) He has an escape plan 6) ....
What are your thoughts/predictions?

law's objective for setting up the meeting with doflamingo was to buy luffy's time to destroy the factory, once it's destroy doflamingo would have no choice but to ally with law and luffy to take on kaido

I always feel it might be some form of respect.
Just like how Bartholomeo call Luffy, Luffy - Sama.
Maybe he feels, it is not right to call Luffy his men.
U noe, romance? Things like --> I rather die than do this, do that.
Yea, my feel, he just feel it is not right to call his ally his men.

If law declared that luffy is his subordinate and is still a schibibukai then he would be forced to release ceasar to DD since fujitora is present
