Coby would be under the wing of a different character now.
He stepped down to train up and coming marines I doubt he will stop training the two most important up and coming marines now that that is his whole job.
Also I was thinking if Luffy does somehow manage to get the devils fruit and actually give it to someone I think the most likely would be Sanji. I know that Sanji said that he only ever wanted the invisible fruit but all of Sanji's haki attacks are already implementing fire and it seems natural that he would be a master of fire.

No one from the crew is getting the fruit start getting that thought out of your head now.

If he eat fire fruit, then his signature move diable jamble has no meaning anymore. & hell memories. If he can conjure fire using the fruits instead of his ability..

On a more realistic though do you guys think that there is going to be some relevance/importance that Kinemon can cut fire while we're dealing with the mera mera fruit?

Not sure if it would make for an oda like twist. Someone eats the mera mera fruit for a final powerup and they need kinemon to cut the fire.

At first i thought that it would be a very nice twist but since almost everybody can use haki anyway i don't think you should read too much into it.

Cavendish is going to get the fruit because he looks exactly like Ace. It totally matches him and his personality. He's: - Hot headed - Good looking - Doesn't have any kind of special quirk as of now - Totally looks like Ace

I didn't want to be the one to crush his dreams by saying it.

There are so many other good candidates, namely Kidd, Law (this alliance will break once they both come out on top) and Coby himself. Remember that Coby was the second person to be introduced, it would be just like Oda to have him be the equivalent to Garp vs Roger.
Helmeppo using big weird knives clearly makes him Zoro's perhaps final boss, instead of Mihawk like we all think.
If reading One piece teaches you anything, it's that don't expect what you think will happen to happen.
I see Cavendish becoming another ally once he sorts out his shit with Luffy, Barto I'm less sure of but honestly it could be the same thing, he hasn't explicitly said he wanted to kill Luffy yet. Honestly only Burgess is scary here and even then, I think Luffy can take him out. I didn't except Chin to go down that easily and honestly, we've only seen a small portion of Luffy's true strength at the moment.
There's also a part of me that really hopes that Luffy goes full retard and eats the Mera Mera No Mi, against ALL logic (that's just like Luffy tbh) and somehow becomes a Fire/Rubber hybrid or something. But that might not happen. But if it doesn't happen, then who is going to eat the Mera Mera No Mi?
Oda so good at making us WAIT for SHIT TO HAPPEN.
KIDD, LAW as potential final boss??! absolutely 0% of happening. they are not even on par with DRAGON, SHANKS not to mention MIHAWK... the final boss probably would be the counter part of DRAGON which hasn't been shown... just as ODA said, "..I too dont even know when this will end..." that would be as the length of the one piece and NOT the ending.

Funny how Don go from one of the contender for the tournament to nothing special.

Would be interesting especially since there is a hype train build up for the would be user of the fruit and what it all comes down to is having kinemon hardcounter the shit out of him lol
