Honestly I see it as probably being the same thing as Kidd. Kid and Drake are the two supernovas who have made a big name for themselves in the new world and they both have attacked Yonkou protected ships. It's probably just a show of their strength and how well they are doing in the New World. | ||

Oda is always prepared to throw something in there that no one expects. Not saying I think Drake will join Kaidou but just saying. | ||

I'd say that there's a possibility that his bounty is higher than his actual (still powerful) fighting power because he might know something about the marines or world that they don't want to get out... kind of like a young Robin. So it's possible that he is looking to Kaido, now believed to be the single most powerful thing in the world, for protection. However, if that's true, he sure went about joining Kaido in an odd way. I'd bet* on Kaido having a Chimera fruit and some powerful armament Haki to back it up. The 100 beasts would actually refer to him, not his army of zoans. He probably has mastery over his fruit like Chopper is slowly gaining and he can probably switch through forms at will, including at least one awakened form. Considering a chimera is a mixture of animals, that would mean that he can essentially use the best parts of any other zoan and combine them to form an ultimate beast for any situation. * My bets are almost always wrong when it comes to One Piece. | ||
