They don't necessarily believe that he is whitebeard's son if mangastream's translation is to be believed. Either way it doesn't matter to them like kizaru said. He's a part of the marines now and is safe from them for the time being. I don't think Garp would have been so insistent on Ace and Luffy joining the marines if said organization was firmly set on executing them over their heritage despite them being in the ranks. Its probably because of their heritage that garp desperately wanted them to be part of the marines knowing that it was the only way they wouldn't be hunted down over their fathers imo. | ||
