So what was the point of inner szayel? I could see if Mayuri was fighting scared or fighting off kilter for a chapter or two and then he comes out and snaps Mayuri out of it but that was literally a panel of emotion.

Did this hand eat shit before? Or did it literally decide to start eating enemies that have been splattered. I mean, it could have just splattered Nemu and then left it at that. I guess if that happened, the next chapter would say "because your veins touched Nemu, they are now poisoned" or some other bullshit rationalization like that.
