If for instance Cersei dies in epsiode 1-2 of S8, then I think there is room for a Dany vs Tyrion+someone else conflict. (not neccasarily war). But if the war against Cersei will take a while (she seems to be getting mercenaries), that battle + while walkers will fill out S8. If I was write the potential conflict it would be something like this: 1. Evil Cersei doesn't care about white walkers. Just want to kill her (human) enemies with a mercenary army. 2. Everyone else does care. Jamie kills her. 3. During episode 3-7 of S8. They are fighting the white walkers, but obviously that alone can't fill up every single episode. 4. While discussing how to beat them, Tyrion gives her advice, but Dany instead prefers a solution where she burns cities to kill white walkers. 10s of thousands of lifes are lost and that makes Tyrion completely lose trust on her. The above scenario would distuingish "Cersei evil" from Dany "evil" and the "evil" timelines won't overlap. I also think Cersei is not enough of a villain for her to survive more than 3 episodes into the new season. Given how fast the TV series is moving atm, we will already see battles in E1/E2 of s8 and those battles can't go on for repeat over 5-6 episodes. Someonething I have no clue about is Aryas role in this season. Perhaps she will take the face of a white walker and be the one who kills the night king? That would be satisfying and besides that I have trouble seeing her purpose. Because Jamie is destined to kill Cersei, and the Mountain will (probably) be killed by the Hound... Euron being killed by Arya??? That's probably a more satisfying kill to give Theon. I think if anything it will be some small conflict, which obviously could still result in people dying etc :D There is no real time to have a bigger one next season imo. Arya got the valyrian dagger for a reason, that reason might be to kill white walkers. The problem is that it could easily feel undeserved, one would imagine that the nights king can deal with a faceless man ^^ In general i think the show doesn't really have the time anymore to create decent subplots, it's all about the major storyline now so some characters are simply just kinda there.

It has to have some type of value in the battle against the white walkers. Perhaps it just needs to fool the other white walkers so she can get close to the night king.

They could have cut it and reserved more time for other scenes. You really confused me for a second here... I really liked the flamethrower recussitated dragon head idea though.

at first i let my fanboyism get in the way of thinking how bad the writing is. but since that high has gone, i just feel absolute disgust for how bad a turn the writing in this show has taken. and all this to convince cersei that the army of the dead are real? you gonna have to sell me more than that, hunny. i feel like its been WAY TOO LONG since i had a memorable scene where it uncovered a deep character development. the latest one i can remember was Jaime's hot tub scene with brienne. that scene was amazing cause it somehow managed to make me hate a dude, who pushed a kid off a window, into someone who im truly rooting for. /end goddamn rant

All better ideas then sending a 4 foot nobody with his gardener but hey thats how it goes.

I’ve been in small planes, its hard to see stuff on the ground. And then you need to capture it. And not freeze to death on the back of the huge dragon while searching. Also, I need to do the math on dragon speed. They fly faster than galloping horses by a good clip, so they are faster than ravens.

GoT reasoning: I can't use dragons, Dothraki or eunuchs to conquer this land, so just after i used dragons, Dothraki or eunuchs to conquer this land and my enemy is trapped with no chance to recover and as weak as he will get, i will go on a 2-3 months journey to give the real enemy more time. Yeaaaaahhh.

Leaked episode -> + Show Spoiler + She only believed after she saw them with her own eyes (she said something along the lines of "you have to see it with your own eyes to believe" afterwards on the ship), before that it seemed pretty esablished to me that she wasn't convinced, maye unsure but definiteley not convinced that the army of dead exists.
