According to the databooks (created by Kishi) Rikiri is an S-rank technique, and Childori is an A-rank technique. I am afraid you are wrong, and not the database | ||

Based on the story we can also exclude that Obito doesn't know that particular reason. Because it is absolutely impossible that the solution of the story will be Tobi saying something like "oooh now I see why you had to kill her, silly me, sorry about destroying the world then". So there is a reason for Rin's death and the only people it affects are Kakashi and Obito and they already know it. So we can safely assume that the cause of Rin's death is not important for the story. | ||

So there is a reason for Rin's death and the only people it affects are Kakashi and Obito and they already know it. he might not know the reason, Obito couldnt handle seeing his best friend kill his love so he kinda broke, and tried to figure out a way for all this to make sense in a way that doesnt make Kakashi a team killing fucktard so he followed what Madara said that the world is so rotten shit like this is inevitable, thats why he never revived Rin even if he did the rotten world would jsut kill her again so he waited until he could escape to the dream worl with her in it the reason doesnt matter to Obito, all he cares about is the world killed Rin so hell "kill" the rotten world and create a dream world for everyone | ||

BAM I speak Japanese and although I haven't seen the databook, I'm pretty sure someone just made up them being different. There's no citation on the part where Gai said raikiri was different from chidori and IIRC he said something along the lines of "chidori, also called raikiri, was invented when kakashi split a bolt of lightning with it." But I could be wrong, I'm just sticking to my initial statement until I get cited data otherwise because I remember specifically hearing that. | ||
