Same for Ino and Tenten, just didn't translate over well and since they aren't main characters their skills weren't upgraded/developed. Mizukage seems legit as didn't she pretty much have Sasuke KO'd before he was saved? Kushina you didn't see much of beyond her childhood owning of bullies and her ability to control the 9 tails. Thats the main problem with the series imo. Certain characters skill sets just became obsolete it seems. Its not really true because we basically get to constantly see the top 10-20 Ninjas in the world all the time and that alters our perception. In reality all the "underpowered" characters are probably pretty good in comparison with the rest of the ninja population. | ||

He has the ability to not only stay in the other dimension but also teleport from place to place right? he could ahve teleported away but he would ahve ahd to do it before the trap was activated, the jutsu that dodges attacks is seperate from the one that he uses to teleport its just like how he cant absorb someone while slipping through an attack he does try to teleport away but Konan kept enough pressure to prevent it | ||

In a story like naruto you need some really powerful enemy so you can show the main character surpassing him. That way you can symbolically show the newer generation surpassing the old. That quote does not mean naruto will burst out of his mothers womb as an infant, be able talk, and say he is now ruler of the universe, causing everyone to instantly die to his power. It's just based off the idea that the newer generation builds off the old so is able to "surpass" them. Like you're using a computer or maybe even a cell phone to read this. Do you know how many thousands of years it took to finally develop the technology capable of making it? It took so many generations slowly building on top of the previous to get to the point we're at now. That's where the whole idea comes from. Mangas like naruto often show such ideas symbolically. | ||

Madra just pumps up the 1st somewhat to build his own image since he lost, he's currently in super-madara form with rinnegan, and 1st hokage abilities as well as self regeneration so he's FAR stronger than he ever was in life he wouldn't stand a chance against the 5 kage's in his normal state. | ||
