We do not know the back story yet, but Evil has confirmed that it is Obito we will see in the chapter coming in a few hours. TT Kishi has already fucked up a lot of stuff in this Manga, so adding Obito and explaining him shouldn't be hard for him to do.

If Tobi was Obito, why wouldnt he activate his sharingan, take off his mask and get Kakashi mindfucked or atleast shocked for a moment, send him into another dimenson and procede to rape everybody since they are then helpless against kamui?

Kakashi was promoted to a jounin at age 13 and kakashi gaiden was his first mission as a jounin (which is why everyone gave him gifts at the start). Kakashi is currently 30 and naruto is 16. Tobi attacked with the fox 16 years ago, when kakashi was 14. Aka 1 year after kakashi gaiden.
Him being obito just makes so little sense. It's like kishi wants to be known as the shittiest writer in history. He just keeps on adding cliche's, loopholes, and illogical personality swings (sauske, now apparently obito?, plus itachi pretended to hate sauske and lied nearly half his life). Like seriously. What. The. Fuck.
All these years of reading naruto i figured kishi would have some really awesome ass ending and fights but it just is getting worse and worse with these "plot twists."

Nono, Evil just reads spoilers early and then gives us little puzzles to decipher. A lot of times, his codes are just pictures of characters, but so far, everything hes posted has been dead on with the chapters that come shortly after. People think he gets them from japanese naruto forums, but no one knows for sure, but we do know is that he's never wrong.
