She mentioned that during the production of the first season of MLP she would go there to volunteer. She is now a board member and helps them out a ton. The best thing about this place is that it is VERY hands on. I was shocked when they actually let us go inside the animal enclosures. Also, since this wasn't a convention, I didn't have to worry about hour long lines to see anyone. I went up not planning to get anything signed, but she had these cards with a copy of the original sketch from the MLP intro (the shot with all 6 of them in the first post of this thread). So I asked if she wouldn't mind doing a quick sketch for me and she happily obliged. There were a few other pony fans there, but they were there mainly to see Lauren and not the actual center. I was there for a few hours and two guys would go get something signed, and 5 minutes later they would be back in line again. Whenever she would get up they would follow her around too. Not going to lie, I felt pretty embarrassed despite having zero association with them. Anyone in the southern California area should definitely check this place out.
